LJ's combat is the peak of the Yakuza (RGG) games without contest; it's fun, it's versatile, it has impact and some of the sickest heat actions in the series (although some of the best ones are also in Judgment).

As for everything else, it's pretty much RGG standard. Good characters in a decent and interesting story with some fun minigames to break up the gameplay.

My only complaints would be that a few too many of the enemies have superarmour and the few stealth sections in the game are kinda pointless as they're easy as hell.

This must be hands-down the most realistic simulation of life in Detroit (minus the clean streets and buildings having structural integrity), Forget Tarkov, Forget any realistic gamer you know, this is where it's at.

My playtime can be divided accurately into 12% playing the game, 48% farming for the last blueprint in a set and 40% harassing people in chat.

This is, without a doubt, my No.1 Greatest Game of All Time and the only time I ever see that changing is when the sequel, N1RV Ann-A releases.

AAA Games today focus too much on being a primordial soup of everything that is remotely interesting in order to appeal to as many as people as possible, but most of the time, with having to divert attention too all these different mechanics and systems, nothing ever gets fleshed out or reaches it's potential as one mechanic is bogged down by the next and so on and so forth, this is a mistake that VA-11 Hall-A avoids.

VA-11 Hall-A places it's main focus on two things and only those two things, characters and dialogue, and because of that, they are able to reach their potential without being bogged down by a hundred other mechanics. That said, if you're the type of person to prefer more involved and complex gameplay then this game may not be for you as gameplay takes a backseat for everything else. However, if you don't mind reading and like to get invested into characters and their stories (and a little worldbuilding), I can confidently say that you'll absolutely love this game.

P.S. The soundtrack f***ing rocks harder than you parents bed a night

After 200 hours, I can conclusively say the game is mid af.

The characters are decent, story is fine, gameplay is fine, customization is good (clothing only, still no car customization), graphics looks great if you have good hardware. After the first two play-throughs, I had to mod the game to keep it fresh.

In conclusion, the game is playable but becomes stale after two or three play-throughs without mods, shame that Steam doesn't let you give middling ratings.

Squad Leader kept taking the piss outta my accent so I blew his brains out with an AK-47. Good game.

I've spent more time modding this game than actually playing it.

Requires futa balls, that is all.

Edit: Game still does not contain futa balls.
