Doom 64 plays similarly to earlier games in the Doom series. You'll have to run through 32 levels that involve battling monsters, collecting weapons along with keys, and activating switches to reach the level's exit while surviving deadly ambushes and traps.

As you advance through the levels you'll find on many occasions that you find yourself in a loophole and next thing you'll be back at the start again, as frustrating as this is, it's a good reward once you finish each level. You'll need to use your brain and common sense alot in this game as its basically one big mindgame on where all the secret rooms are along with the switches to activate different things.

The amount I've times ive shot the rocket launcher too close to myself and blown myself up is really bloody annoying but as I say it's also a good reward getting to the end. The series of 32 levels play quite the same, only every level you get different monsters and the map changes quite a bit which also makes that very confusing having to learn every map and where you have and havent been.

I give this game a solid 9/10
