Far Cry 1 isn't like the rest of the games in the series, instead of being open-world outpost liberation simulator Far Cry 1 is a linear hardcore shooter where even on the easiest difficulty enemies will give you quite a challenge, it also have pretty big maps so you can go wherever you want. I recommend installing SilentPatch (fixes water reflections on modern systems and some bugs) & Tent AI Fix (Fixes nasty AI glitch where enemies can see you through tents, very useful actually), also, temper a little with games cfg in order to increase drawing distance (The trees literally turn into 2d sprites even if you very close)

Optimization is kinda meh, sometimes during cutscenes fps drops to 44 for some reason, weird shadows on characters, changing shadow dithering options for some reason cause stuttering for me, during fights on huge arenas with big amount of enemies fps can drop to like 38-40

On the positive side... Soundtrack slaps, Olga has a nice cake, cutscenes look much better then they do in SS4, new weapons are cool i liked that crossbow, side missions are made with heart, the marshhopper room in the bunker forced my PTSD from TFE to kick in

This game has the worst TAA i've ever saw, you can't even turn it off
