When this DLC was first released, I was among the very first to dive in - literally within the first hour of launch. My initial impressions were mixed. In fact, I left a negative review on Steam, and it stayed that way for quite some time, even after I had finished the DLC.

By the end, however, my feelings had shifted toward the positive - but I still hadn’t updated my review.

It reminded me of my first experience with the base game. Back then, Elden Ring sometimes felt bloated, repetitive, or even tedious. And yet, I kept coming back to it. Over time, I replayed it multiple times, exploring every corner and secret, despite its massive scale. To this day, I know that if I started a new playthrough tomorrow, I’d enjoy it just as much as I always have.

Now, with the benefit of time and a deeper understanding of the DLC, I’m correcting that early misjudgment. I’ve played it through multiple times - both solo and in co-op - and I’ve squeezed every bit of content from it, explored every hidden path, and truly absorbed what it has to offer.

And I can confidently say: this is, without question, one of the best DLCs ever made

My average The Witcher 3 session in about 8+ hours and I regret nothing. All I can say is that I fell in love with the game at first sight and my gaming experience will never be the same again. The only downside of this game is that it ends eventually, otherwise I would play it forever.
