Awesome. Love the fishing and its controls. The plot is captivating and Big the Cat is one of the most well written characters in video game history.

However, it comes with some strange design choices, as there are several conditions you must complete before you're able to get to the meat of this game. You are required to play as this strange character named "Sonic", in a sub plot that has near nothing to do with the main plot or character. In this segment of the game, there is no fishing, and it seems to be all about running. This could have worked in a different series such as Mario, which is all about acrobatics and getting from point A to B. The Big the Cat series is not fit for this style of gameplay. To make matters even worse, Big the Cat doesn't even appear in the game until you fight the beast that ate the iconic character "Froggy". However, after said beast is defeated, you are able to access the main plot of the game and play the main character. This is why I am giving the game a positive review and what made it such an iconic staple in 3D gaming.

The real plot begins when protagonist Big the Cat loses his one true friend, Froggy, to a magical yellow emerald that possesses the poor frog, and causes him to flee. In desperation for his buddy, Big hunts for his friend in the city, and eventually spots him in a pool at "Twinkle Park", one of the four magical levels of this experience. This is where the magic of the fishing itself comes in, it controls absolutely perfectly and is a blast to play through. The game design is at peak here as the game allows you to not only catch Froggy, but also the other fish in the several ponds you will be seeing throughout your adventure. The diverse set of fish, (such as that one green one, and that one purple one), spice up the game and allows for massive diversity in gameplay, it never gets boring.

Anyways, to continue the plot, Froggy then flees to the Himalayas, where stakes are incredibly high. Big must use his super strength to break through icy waters and save his stubborn friend from catching hypothermia and dying. The suspense you feel while playing "Ice Cap Zone" sets a mood that no other video game in this era could THINK of matching. After saving the poor amphibian's life, he then is sent to Hawaii. After saving him from the evil robot fish and sharks, the main antagonist of the game finally shows their face.
"E-102 Gamma" is a despicable and captivating villain. "Gamma" kidnaps frogs and sends them to his father, who he cruelly calls an Egg, to be eaten by the feral water beast of an unknown name or origin. Only alluded to as "Chaos 6". One can only ponder what Chaos 1-5 were like.

Anyways, the robotic foe kidnaps Froggy and sets off to feed him to Chaos 6 for what seemingly seems to be ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles. After an emotional breakdown, (one of the saddest scenes in video game history), Big raids Gamma's flying ship, supposedly owned by his "Egg" of a father. After destroying the aquarium prison used to contain the poor frog, Big saves Froggy for what seems to be the last time.
Of course, this isn't the last part of the game. Big has seemed to forgotten is slimy little friend is still possessed by the magical yellow gem, which results in Froggy sacrificing himself to Chaos 6, the frog-eating water monster that destroys all hopes and dreams. This leads to the final boss, the best final boss in gaming. As big, you must use your almighty fishing rod to save your friend for the final time in an adrenaline-pumping battle between two strong foes.
After Chaos 6 is destroyed, Big hops on HIS plane and flies back home with his best friend, no longer possessed, in hand. This is the end of the greatest story ever made.

Although there was the strange design choice with the "Sonic" character, and several loose ends being left untied, such as the weird orange cat with two tails, or the Jamaican dog dude, Big the Cat Adventure is simply the most fun you could possibly have while playing a game. I leave this with a 10/10, and it's definitely not because I'm being held at gunpoint.

When fallen aces is brought to its fullest potential it’ll easily be the best new blood game. The game has underdeveloped mechanics but those will hopefully be fixed throughout the early access process, like ultrakill
Currently there’s only five levels but there’s so much replay value and content packed into each one. It’s simultaneously a sandbox and a linear action game. Try it out.

Also is Fallen Aces any good? Was looking to pick it up, but I know it's only like one episode at the moment. Is the one episode decently lengthed?
