SINCE I CANT GIVE A NEUTRAL REVIEW

hey all im just going to give my worthless 2 cents on what i like and dislike about the game currently, in its current state it is a little buggy, missing quite a few factions from the WW2 Theater but thats just 1 post launch update or Mod away anyway so i dont see it as that big of an issue.

*At its core this game does still retain the Men Of War feel but with the much needed engine and graphical updates, the game runs at max frames without hitches or stutters on the maximum settings.

*Overall the new graphical style is quite nice, bright colors, dark smoke, bullet and shell impacts look and feel weighty howver some of the lower caliber weapons have quite underwhelming effects in my opinion. some devolve into little balls of fire that hardly look like a blast. Flamethrower flames look good however they lack the look of a steady steam of fire and there's typically gaps between the flames with any amount of movement of whatever is firing. Fire is also oddly Opaque? You can see directly through the flames and smoke, a small nitpick but it does mess with any immersion.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS GAME
*Battles are fun and feel alive.

*AI difficulty isnt either a cake walk or getting steamrolled, the AI feels balanced'

*Units and maps look solid, would love to see more urban focus

*Artillery finally feels like Artillery, no more wondering why your 155 can only fire 175M away

*Tank Health bar system, this is controversial, personally ive always hated this as it feels like a lazy balance "looking at you company of hero's" But the context it is implemented in this game does make sense. Unlike Assault Squad 2 you wont put 15 shells of solid shot AP through a tank and its still technically operable. if a tank takes repeated pens that dont kill the tank themselves the HP bar will hard knock the vehicle. understandable since nobody would attempt to use a panther thats had its sides turned into a cheese grater.

*Campaigns,s raids etc are solid. the conquest mode is a nice addition

WHAT I DONT LIKE
* AI seems incredibly stupid at times, rushing tanks and soliders directly to your spawn for some odd reason. in the PvE battalions mode the goal is too capture and hold more territory, but the AI ignores this at times and simply rushes units right to your backline. They dont have a sense of strategy or cohesion. kinda weird since it is indeed a strategy game.

*AI just sometimes doesnt shoot? ive had units set to fire at will and watched enemies cross within 30 feet or so and my guys wont fire till i manually click? I should note this seems like mainly a tank issue, Pillboxes are bugged however, truthfully though it feels like alot of buildings are, Infantry seems to have issues shooting out of buildings they occupy

*The Voicelines.... anyone who has played the US in this game knows. if i have to hear "My butt is covered in grass from all this sitting around doing nothing" im gonna commit rope throat refund.

*Tanks will occasionally turn towards an enemy and then manuever as to show the enemy the side or ass of the tank. ask me how i know. The AI driving them also likes to take very direct routes on some areas which leads to vehicles trying to climb things they cant, get stuck in terrain ETC.

This is a nitpick but having double click attack on a unit makes it automatically suicide charge. Ive now figured this out but i sent many, many squads and tanks to their death because im just used to clicking twice to make sure the order went through.

Spotting. This has changed quite a bit now from MoW:AS2 instead of being fairly generous and most units having pretty broad lines of vision the game has swapped that up for a more combined arms approach where dedicated recon units, hidden infantry matter much more then a sherman rolling through that can see everything. Tanks now have godawful spotting which makes sense but the view area around the tank is rather small. Ive had a sherman with an entire squad on the back of it and a German AT inf managed to walk through a field within probably 30 feet of the tank> went fully unspotted in the open until he fired.
Lack of nations (i still have to add this as it does suck we dont have all the major powers yet.

AIR SUPPORT FEELS WEIRD
not sure really how i feel about how balanced this is, Aircraft die very easily to AA, you can only choose one attack option per run, so only a strafe or bombs, cant do both. Bombs dont really do anything to tanks, the american A20 and its 500kg can hardly do more then damage the track of an IS series tank, On the flip side Aircraft strafing and light bombs are very strong vs infantry as it should be.

Anyways this is my poorly written review, i may return to update it as i get more hours and whatever changes in the future, thank you!

Game reviews are still "mixed" if you look at the negatives though a solid 70 percent of them boil down to "Not MOWAS2 so its bad" Mainly just pissy veterans of the franchise. i think my review still stands pretty accurate.

Also arent the developers of this Ukranian? IF they are yall should be happy we even got this game let alone an update on it!
