It's the most controversial game for me to review. I beat this game on Noctis (the "intended" difficulty) in 55 hours by 109% (I assume that 1% is beating all boss-rush dlc challenges, which I don't care about). At first I was very pleased with the game and couldn't understand, what people don't like about it... now I know. The main reason is - the game stops to be fun and starts to be annoying (most of the time).

Platforming stops to be fun when you obtain crystal arrows, because devs think that precise shooting arrow in 1 inch high corridor full of spikes is fun smh. The most fun jump puzzles are the ones w/out this ability, and sadly there are not as many of them as I wanted to.
Exploring and fighting stops to be fun in the 2 locations, because there is enormous amount of enemies which to kill you have to hit them 4-7 times each. And on top of that, the locations themselves are just platfroms above platfroms above platforms...
Bosses were never fun for me, but towards the end you can just face-roll many of them (even the last one), which was good for me, but that's not a very good thing overall.
Metroidvania aspect is somewhat competent, I'd say. But don't expect any revelations here, the world connection itself is pretty poor.
Backtracking is not fun at all, because most of the platforming in this game is tough, and everytime, when you need to go somewhere, you have to pass through same exact jump puzzles over and over again, always to be concentrated, and that's just awful. Take GRIME, Hollow Knight for example - in these games during backtracking you are in your head, you build plans on what are you gonna do next, relaxing, etc. But here... no fun allowed, focus is your eternal state, because you gotta say hi to mister 1 inch high corridor full of spikes or else it will obliterate you (it will anyway lol).
Plot is dissapointing.
The music is just piano, so no memorable tracks for you, because they all sound alike.

Well, at least I can praise art-design, but unfortunately that's the only unambiguous pro. To wrap this up, if you want tooth-crushing platforming on every inch of the game with almost no sense of progression by damage - this game is for you.
