It could be good but the developers stay detached from the community & keep making dumb af decisions as a result. it's sad because I loved Overwatch 1 but now if feels awful to play most of the time.

Fantastic edition to the monster hunter series! I have 200 or so hours on Nintendo switch & purchased this on steam to play with friends because it's just that good. I love how much they expanded on the combat, making all the new weapons feel viable, unique & sometimes even powerful if you use them effectively which is also a lot easier to do since they've simplified & made using some of the weapons smoother but also kept the satisfying feeling you get when using something like the hunting horn (for example). this has also been a great way to get newer players into monster hunter since the others have come off as too fast, complicated & overwhelming whereas stories is more grounded & lets you take things at your own pace, whatever that may be, seeing as that's the nature of turn based rpgs.

If you haven't played this & you're on the fence about it, grab a friend & play it together because it's extremely fun going through finding hidden items to create new & interesting build combinations & alternate ending for the different worlds you'll explore. On top of that, every decision you make when talking to npc's doesn't just feel like it matters, for the majority of them it actually does matter & can change the course of some quests (Or just make an old man feel joy again in a post apocalyptic world)

All my previous complaints seem to have been addressed & while I haven't gotten far into the game I haven't came across any glaring issues in the gameplay (which is the biggest reason for me purchasing the game in the first place).

Distracting their players with more & more content instead of fixing & polishing what they currently have. It feels like there is a disconnect between the developers & players which.. isn't anything new but I've been hoping that'd change but never did & the false promises make it harder to excuse. Dealing with this game is like having a dealer who doesn't like you but still wants your money.
