"In King Ghidorah's reduxed origin, he is the fusion of three Futurian pets known as Dorats, which seem to resemble golden Gizmos from Gremlins (1984). Original designs for the pets featured a more likely dragon-like head, instead evoking a devious appearance. Kazuki Ohmori deemed this more plausible than Ghidorah being some "silly space monster" coming to Earth to destroy it." -IMDb
