Disclaimer: I had about 60 hours played in the beta, I'm not new to the game.
Okay, with that out of the way.. This game is not a "MOWAS 2 reskin"! The developers have put in a lot of cool features to expand and excel past the previous GEM titles, to create a revitalized WW2 RTS experience for you, the consumer. Yes, at first glance if you hop into 1 or 2 games and write a review shortly after, yea you'll think the is assault squad 3 or something. That's why most of the negative reviews are leaving a bad taste in my mouth and should leave a bad one in your mouth too. After a decent amount of time playing the game myself, and if you dedicate some time yourself, you will start seeing the little intricacies and beautiful details the developers have added that will absolute blow your mind away. Things like the improved vehicle model system that allows you to have accurate vehicle destruction, vastly superior animations that look almost like ragdolls, and don't get me started on the graphics. Probably the largest QoL piece of the game is that it runs on a 64 bit engine, allowing massive performance gains over the previous GEM titles! I could go on and on but my main takeaway for you, the consumer is to just look past the skin of the game and focus on the organs beneath the surface. This is more than a step forward for the GEM engine and it's certainly miles past an "MOWAS2 reskin". The developers are some of the most hardworking group of guys I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with and they engage with their community DAILY to improve the game.
