Hey Hatch, thank you! Yes, I am most definitely going to be doing an Elden Ring guide; originally it was going to be my winter project for this year but it has been post ponned. I will most likely be starting it early next year. :praisesun:

Congrats, Skrewild! 100%ing the trilogy is such a satisfying feeling, I really wish they would bring Bloodborne & Demon Souls to Steam soon. Good luck on your next 100%; Happy Hunting! :praisesun:

you took me through Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 2 now its time for Dark Souls 3! Great guides thank you!
Division 8 Jul @ 2:17pm
Yes originally I was trying to make guides on other games that were on my list but I realise it is gonna be not my type so I scrap those projects. I would very much will be enjoying games soon like Lies of P (I recommend that game really) and other metroidvanias that are harder or easy but for now I need the online portion done for Max Payne 3 and I can call it done.
Cynic 0055 8 Jul @ 2:09pm
Thanks, Division. Once you get over that "honeymoon phase" of making guides, it does start feeling like work after a while. In your defence though, Division, you did try taking on some pretty demanding games to make guides for. Yakuza, Resident Evil, & especially Max Payne 3 definitely are not "quick & easy" 100%s & then to try to do a guide during the process makes a long game even longer. All very good games that would make for good guides, but I would classify them as "long guides" which are 80-160+ hours to make. Very easy to burn yourself out.

Which is why I try to have multiple games/guides on the go so I can bounce around & try to not let it get stale... but that comes with its on problems as you can go from one game/guide to... a lot on the go. I have four guides on the go just from this year, & probably another nine other guides in the back log that I started/got distracted/couldn't finish/& got shelved for later.
Division 8 Jul @ 1:57pm
I may not have the willpower to make more guides anymore but you still doing those guides I can appreciate the effort you had done Cynic keep it up. I am okay playing games without your guide but when you have a guide present per game I will no doubt use it, not like other people's guides are useless but yours is a top quality.
Cynic 0055 8 Jul @ 1:10pm
Yep, that is exactly what I do haha, & 100% why things take longer than I want. You could just sit there & leaf through all the True Achievements, Platinum Trophies, Gamesradar, or other Steam Guides & just cobble your own "copypasta" guide together. But you can always tell with those guides, & you may as well go to the original source.

My process definitely takes a while depending on the game, but the end result speaks for itself, if I may be so bold. The hardest part is just... time... there are sooooooooo many games I want to cover, & just no where near enough time or motivation to power through it all. My day job is finally picking up in terms of hours as well for the summer season, so I have even less gumption these last few weeks. One game at a time...
"Big Pussy" Bompensiero 8 Jul @ 1:02pm
I imagine you would have to 100% each game yourself in order to write an effective guide...probably takes a long time. Most games are difficult/annoying to earn all the achievements, so us scrubs appreciate these detailed guides. Thank you ser
Cynic 0055 8 Jul @ 12:59pm
Haha thank you, BP. I appreciate the shout out! Definitely no where near as regular with my releases as I would like, but I can say for certain, that I have some banger guides planned for the rest of the year after I clear the four I have on the go currently! :praisesun:
"Big Pussy" Bompensiero 5 Jul @ 11:11pm
Cynic is the top guide maker on Steam by a wide margin. He releases his high-quality guides regularly. They cover all different genres of games. Very helpful indeed. Thanks Cynic!
Cynic 0055 28 Jun @ 2:51pm
I actually want those Divinity guides done before I do Baldur's Gate 3 since, at least Achievement wise, they are very similar. I have not touched Baldur's Gate at all & I really want to give it a go (especially since no DLC expansion have been already confirmed). So chances are, those Divinity guides are going to be near-er future then I thought.
Cynic 0055 28 Jun @ 2:47pm
Hey linus.249, thank you! And eventually, I do plan to make guides for Divinity; I am currently in a Coop playthrough beating through Divinity 2 with one of my friends, but that is just for fun. Funnily enough though, we are taking a break from it because he & I are actually doing a Coop run through of DS3 ourselves at the moment!

But I would definitely love to make guides for Divinity since there is not really many (if any) good 100% guides out there for it. They would be extremely difficult games to do guides for though just with how many long-running Missable Achievements there are in them, not to mention Honor Mode. Lots & lots of research for me to do prior to starting.

Can't tell you when I might be working on them or when they would be released, but eventually, I absolutely will have guides for them. The combat is so freakin addicting in those games! :magicstarfish:
linus.249 28 Jun @ 8:16am
Hey Cynic, i am currently following your Dark Souls 3 guide and it's realy helpful getting all achievments. Thank you for that, i realy appreciate it! Are you planing on doing a gude for Divinity Original Sin 2 in the furure? Your guides are great!
Gbcrespo 22 Jun @ 5:46am
Hey Cynic, just wanted to thank you on the Souls series 100% guides. Your walkthroughs shed a light on me for this amazing series. Keep up the good work :zagwow:

AYOUB--! Good to see you again, friend, I hope you have been keeping well! The Steam Group was a long time coming. Not 100% sure what it will become, but at the moment I have just been using it to update people on my guides & connecting fellow Achievement Hunters together.

Darksiders is very interesting. The gameplay for the first game was a bit clunky but the characters & story were very good; the ending was fantastic. I jumped right into the second game after I beat it, & they seem to have improved my gameplay complaints. So far it has been very good. I did burn out 1/4 of the way through (just too much "hack & slash" back to back), so I am taking a brief break from it.

Hoping to have it finished before mid July along with a slew of other guides I have been working on in the background as well. Potentially up to four of them if I am on the ball.
AYOUB-- 20 Jun @ 4:19am
Hey Cynic how are you. Yes i changed my name again.. and I see you have a new profile photo as well^^ glad to see you finally decided to create a steam group !! Anw what's your opinion on darksiders so far. The first game is pretty old but the plot is very interesting. The other games tell the story of what the other horsemen were doing during/before the events of the first game.
h0byt 17 Jun @ 3:15pm
Thanks a lot, Cynic 0055. Your guides here are FANTASTIC. You are a True LEGEND

thank you man i look forward to it, take your time on things and don't rush, we really appreciate the guides
Cynic 0055 27 May @ 7:24pm
Hey Greg (real), I actually plan on doing a guide for Skyrim at some point later this year. I was going to save it for this winter, but I've really really been craving playing it again, so I may start it sooner.

At the earliest though, I would be working on it after I finish my guide for Arkham Knight (which may still take me a little while yet). So I am not sure if when my guide does come out for it, if you won't have already 100%ed it. I have already 100%ed it myself on 360 & then on the PS4 in the past, so it may or may not take me that long to complete once I do get started.
Greg (real) 27 May @ 6:57pm
hey man love the guides, do you reckon in the future you could tackle a skyrim 100% guide?
im quite stuck and have no idea what to do in order to get the missables and theres not many good guides out there. thanks man keep up the grind :steamhappy:
"Big Pussy" Bompensiero 26 May @ 10:52pm
Great work, thanks for always putting out new batches of guides <3

Hi ! Thank you for guide of Metro 2033, was very helpful ! Now I start Metro Last Light. :Mstar:
Division 15 Apr @ 10:34am
Yeah not to mention I heard there are bugs that softlocks you like I am experiencing it but it's not gonna be bad once I play a lot. I have not started Elden Ring but I might play to 100% Sekiro soon.
Cynic 0055 15 Apr @ 10:29am
Haha alright Division, well maybe I'll get on the Steam Group sooner than later then. The Maximum Payne Achievement is so gnarly; I would take Wolfenstein 2s Mein Leben run over that!
Division 15 Apr @ 8:09am
I can't wait for your group just so there's more to chat than in here and your guides. While waiting for your Elden Ring I was just doing Max Payne 3 on my alt due to earning achievements in my main but I am striving to clear my most difficult games with your guides including Infinite somehow I am doing that game next.
Mizuki 15 Apr @ 5:21am
Thank you for the reply! It makes sense waiting for the dlc, I'm playing dark souls in order so by the time I finish them maybe you'll already have your guide out ahah.

I mentioned demon souls and bloodborne as the most recent leak about the ps ports included demon souls! And since Ghost of Tsushima is being ported, Helldivers 2 was also in the leak and it was ported, there's big hopes that Demon Souls might be in a near future. Sadly tho, no news regarding bloodborne. To me it makes sense that Demon Souls comes first as there's an already remastered version that probably is optimized/working well enough to be on pc while we don't know how bloodborne would run I guess.

Good hunting :)
Cynic 0055 14 Apr @ 7:20pm
Hey Mizuki, I 100% plan on making a guide for Elden Ring, the only thing stopping me is potential DLC releases & new Achievements/alterations to the game. After Shadow of the Erdtree is out (I imagine that will be the only DLC but potentially not) I will be looking into starting a guide for it.

I would absolutely kill to make a Bloodborne &/or Demon Souls guide if they came to Steam. It seems unlikely, but if they're bringing Ghosts of Tsushima (another highly anticipated game of mine) to Steam, then there still might be hope. I have never played Demon Souls Remastered yet & would love to check it out; played the original on PS3 & I've played Bloodborne to death back on PS4.

I will probably be starting that Steam Group in the next couple months here I think. No idea what it will become, but if nothing else, it will just be another page to gush about cool games on. Happy Hunting, & thanks for the support! :praisesun:
Mizuki 14 Apr @ 6:41pm
Thank you for all the work bro! Means a lot as an achievment hunter myself, since you don't accept friend requests I started following you instead. Looking forward for that steam group you mentioned! :luv:
By the way, do you plan on playing Elden ring any time soon? Would you also be interested in Bloodborne/Demon Souls if they ever come to steam?
Best of regards!
AAM 5 Apr @ 5:19am
Definitely couldn't 100% Sekiro without this legend. Looking forward to the Arkham Knight guide so I could start 100%ing the Arkham series.
Greg (real) 30 Mar @ 9:31pm
insane how much effort you put into 100%ing games and spending time on guides, you're amazing dude you're guides are immensely helpful, thank you so much
Marsh Rat 24 Mar @ 2:09am
I just want to say thanks for your guides, they've been very helpful! :bbtduckshark:
Cynic 0055 17 Mar @ 1:51pm
Ren... the best suggestions ever; I actually just finished speaking with someone on my Blasphemous guide about the second game. So... I am closely watching Blasphemous 2 for any DLC releases (which there does not seem to be, which is actually a real shame). But because of that, that means I am free to go in without fear to make a guide. Without making promises, I have added it to my imaginary guide list for this year. I may start it after I finish Arkham Knight (which has Days Gone & the Darksiders series coming before it).

As for Skyrim, it was on my guides list for next year, but I could very easily add it to my winter guides list for this year instead. Twist my arm. I have 100%ed Skyrim on Xbox 360, PS4, & I have been dying to cross it off my Steam list.
Cynic 0055 17 Mar @ 1:51pm
Arkham Knight is going to be my most demanding guide for this year (like Arkham City was for 2022) so I have no idea how much/far it will derail my other guides. But I have learned a lot, & will take breaks when I need to prevent burnout which is where Darksiders comes in as nice, quick & easy 100%s I can bang a guide out & keep my mojo. If I am on the ball, I can have Arkham Knight out in June or July which gives me another 6 months this year to get a bunch more guides done; I am super pumped this year for some reason & want to get a lot of guides out this year!
Ren 17 Mar @ 12:21pm
Hey man,i absolutely love your guides and I fully support you at all times, I just wanna make a request because I don't think anyone else would do it but you since you're so helpful, I don't wanna put pressure on you or anything at all! After you finish your project I'd think it would be amazing to have a guide from you specifically for Skyrim special edition and Blasphemous 2! I love your guides, keep it up!
