I'm redoing my review because it's been 3 years since I gave it a positive rating, when I had around 200 hours, and that's not changing. This is for sure the best game ever made. I've tried other games, none have come to the level of the Witcher 3 (in short no other game made me play it for 4 days straight without stopping other than to sleep). It has everything. The best characters ever, the best story ever, the best world map ever, not the perfect combat system but it's at least somewhat fun once you get the hang of it. I get the game isn't for everyone, and that's completely fine, but in terms of what makes a game good, The Witcher 3 basically ticks all of the boxes. If you love a good story, and my 500+ hours (surely will be more through the years) don't convince you, there are millions of other people that share my feeling for this game.
I've beaten the game over 5 times, going onto at least the 6th playthrough now (I lost count).
I will not lie, the Next Gen update made the game slightly weird, but I'm pretty sure playing on DX 11 completely fixes the problem of visual bugs. There are hardly any other bad things I can say about the game.
The entire game is about 100 hours long, and that's if you rush through certain things. You can easily push on 150 hours if you take your time with quests and exploring. And through those 100 hours, the game keeps you constantly engaged in the story and gameplay, it doesn't throw you off the track at any moment, and you are always free to do as you please, pause the main story, move onto side quests/DLCs (don't get me started on those, they can be separate games on their own with how long and good they are).
It's seriously tragic to look at the state of gaming in 2024, where games like The Witcher 3 are still as rare as hen's teeth. I seriously hope that more developers will take notes from CDPR on how to make a game (and also avoid mistakes like The Witcher 3's and Cyberpunk 2077's launch editions, but I can't deduct any points for that, since they fixed up nearly everything and also released more content for the games, some for free, and DLCs (in this case massive expansions) for a relatively small fee in the grand scheme of things).

11/10.

And that's not an ironic rating. This game transcends perfect. I'd give up my left leg to get to play this game for the first time again.
Buying it on sale feels like a robbery. Worth every single cent, and many times more.
