For all of those who love the premise of original Tails Noir, and who were disappointed by its sudden shift to pseudophilosophical junk: play this. The Preludes gave me exactly what I lacked in Tails Noir: the ability to live through personal drama of each of the characters, to learn more about the ways and the problems of the world they live in.

While the plot lacks some global goal unlike the original, it's still emotionally engaging and exciting to play through, even though you already know the outcome for most characters based on Tails Noir events. The last act for one of the characters actually feels like a final rpg boss where you have to consider your choices very carefully, considering how much is at stake.

So if you're looking for an emotional visual novel, this game is for you. If you fell in love with Tails Noir universe and crave more of it, this game is for you.
