"it's a chatroom with a game attached to it" is a phrase used to describe scp sl, and i think it fits well
i enjoyed the game because it was dumb, because of the interactions you had with other people, because of the variety and uniqueness this game had compared to others
but i feel like every update they change the game in ways that make it worse
long gone are the days of it being a "casual shooter", now every weapon has a unique spread, so if you're not willing to put in the time to memorize each one, you'll die immediately in a gun fight against someone who has
939 used to be able to talk to people, which made unique and funny interactions between the humans and the scps, but not anymore, now you can only steal voices, which isn't nearly as interesting
and with the new update around the corner, they're replacing all the human models, half of which look terrible
and this entire time i'm just thinking, why? nobody asked for this, nobody wanted weapon recoil patterns or new human models, we just wanted a game that was fun. we had that, but i feel like it's being taken away

at the end of the day, i still like the game, i still plan on playing it for a few more years, but if the terrible optimization or the incredibly long time between updates doesn't kill the game, then the updates that mold the game into something unrecognizable will
