I am very glad that the PSN requirement did not go into effect, but the game is still restricted in countries sadly, though I believe this is mostly, if not all, of Sony's fault.

Craziest thing, I played a very intense game of similar to Russian Roulette, it was a very close game but I ended up winning, then I went home and booted up this game called "Buckshot Roulette"

Project Winter is a really fun social deception game, as more as I find myself wanting to talk and have a laugh, the more I find myself coming back to this game. Sure the type of people can depend if you play with randoms and sometimes its hard to find a server, whether it be because of all the servers having started or there not being much servers up, but i've mostly have had good experiences myself with this game in terms of the people i've met. Also the gameplay is really interesting since you have to manage food and heat, let alone animals like wolves and bears, let alone the person who may or may not be a traitor.

The different roles
So as a survivor you have, depending on the mode you play there are specific roles you get, like for example the defector can open up traitor crates, one per a certain cooldown. You have a cooldown before a big storm comes, in the default mode with full roles its 30 minutes, but can vary depending on the rules or the gamemode. You have to repair two objects, you start with the first objective which can be a variety of things from parts, cipher codes, or digging or such, it all depends. But basically after the 1st one you do the second objective, but then after you have to go back to cabin and call the escape. The traitor on the other hand has a job of killing people or preventing them from leaving. They can do this by sabotaging objectives, dealing time or attacking/killing the other people. There are also events in this game that could benefit or not benefit the traitors. The traitors depend on the gamemode but in the base game mode there's 2 I believe. The neutral role identity thief can pretty much pick up a dead person's role, so in a sense you gotta be careful if you kill a traitor because identity thief could suddenly become a traitor. Then you pretty much just do the role of what you stole.

The environment/needs
Traitor's are a threat but so is the general environment and your needs, you can't die by having low heat/hunger but it is not ideal as it lowers your max health (both do) and im pretty sure having less food lowers your ability to be able to melee by making your attacks a percentage weaker. So you have to make sure you keep your heat up by staying in the cabin you start in when needed or get heat with other methods like campfires, drinks/food items. You also have to be careful of other factors in the environment like bears and wolves and make sure you can defend yourself. How you make a weapon or a melee one is with one rock and one wood. Which the environment provides/you can get by punching trees and stones. You also get food from the environment from berries or animals and health from herbs. There are also events like the big winter storm coming and general events like getting scattered/teleported across the map and a temporary winter storm.

The interactions
The thing about what makes this game great is the voip. There is also radios so you can have long range communications, but this is also interesting because there is 2 colored radios (three if you count traitors as they have their own) so you could have other people on the other one talking about other stuff. You'll have a lot of experiences, or such. Sometimes the playercount can be low or all/most the games are already started. The game is also fun with a friend group as well. Also when you die as a ghost you can buff people with food, campfire or health or debuff them. So ghosts in a sense can also try to hint at who the traitors are by debuffing them or benefit the survivors by giving them buffs. So this can cause a lot of things and scenarios that could be interesting. You can also listen to what other people are saying on the radio.

The roles in this game are also pretty interesting, is that person claiming defector really defector? Or secretly a traitor? Thats also one thing, in this game unless its custom or different when you even kill the traitors you have to still escape. So this means you could still lose after killing the traitors. Or there could still be a traitor there, you never know. There's also a lot in this review that I didn't go over and discover, so I personally recommend this game

The blackout dlc
If your considering getting the game, the blackout dlc is honestly pretty nice, because its essentially a whole new gamemode, map and events where instead of there being 2 traitors there 1 and they can convert people, one of them called whisperer has to convert people by being near and some roles you have to knock them or there are other ways I think to convert them. So you effectively can have other traitors. There's also a neutral role called the yeti who could just side with anyone and I believe can only escape after completing their objective. I personally like this dlc a bit along with the base game and it brings something interesting to the table. If you do wanna get this dlc I would consider the bundle as it makes it cheaper

Overall
The game is pretty good and I would recommend it if your looking into a social deception game that is also kinda survival based and can be intense at times. There are a lot of interactions and also things I haven't covered in this review. But I quite like this game.

Battlefield 4 is a pretty neat shooter. With an environment that is mostly able to be manipulated by the players. Whether that be because a tank blew up a house and it collapsed, or maybe it’s me driving a tank and not realizing there’s a concrete barrier behind me, plowing right through it (I can’t drive). It just feels nice, the gunplay, the teamplay, the classes you can play and when you get this game on sale, you get all the dlcs because it's the premium edition. Which means even more maps, I picked this game up for like 5.19? But the prices of the game can obviously vary depending on sale, but if it's not too expensive on sale it’s a pretty good buy.

One important thing about battlefield 4 is the class system. You have 4 classes, each class can use a carbine, shotgun and dmr, but at the same time there is a class specific type of weapon per each class. There is Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon, each having a unique weapon class and 2 gadget slots. Assault having assault rifles, defibs and medpacks and overall being the medic type class alongside some other things. Engineer having pdws, being the repair guy for your friendly tank and rpg’s which are great for taking out tanks and other vehicles, and the repair tool can also deal damage to enemy tanks if close, Engineer has a bunch of different rpgs, and some other things too, but they're pretty much anti tank guy/assistant to friendly tank. Support has lmg which is good for sustained fire, but they also provide ammo to the team and have c4’s, alongside some other things. Then you have recon which has snipers and can laser designate things (which basically means specific rpgs/things can lock onto it and do more damage) and also has a radio beacon which can make people on the same squad spawn. What is interesting about this though is that not one person has everything. Did you play support? What if you're low on health? Did you play assault? What if you run out of ammo? A tank spots you? Did you play recon? What if you need ammo, health, etc. Did you play engineer? What if you need ammo/health? Basically teams just have to work together to provide everything to everyone.

There’s also a squad system per team. 5 people can join in a squad and you can spawn on squad members (I believe it can vary by server). You have the squad lead who can be like, defend this objective, or tell you to attack an objective. You have the before mentioned respawn beacon, which only squad members on the same squad can spawn on that respawn beacon. Basically if you aren’t on the same squad as the recon who placed the respawn beacon you can’t spawn there. It’s pretty neat though as there is like teamwork with the whole team, but also the whole squad and you can spawn on your squad and work with them, to help your whole team as well for capturing objectives. There is also a commander that can join on each team, which I've never played I believe.

The environment is destructible. There's levolutions where if something big gets destroyed, (ex: the tower in siege of shanghai collapses into the floor, where now rubble is, where a building used to be) the level can change. Things in the world can be destroyed, whether it be glass, concrete pillars, some harder than others, and some things aren't destructive. For example the flag on objectives isn’t. The world overall feels like you're in an actual battlefield, it may look less destroyed at the beginning, then comparatively at the end of the match you may see the environment more destroyed, trees fallen, pillars destroyed, buildings collapsed. There are also in general a lot of maps due to the premium edition you're getting, alongside the base maps, you're also getting the dlc ones.

There are a lot of vehicles, too. They can be in the air, ground, or water. It depends and there is a lot of variety, and stuff you can unlock too which can change how you use them. You can change the guns on your tank and play a totally different playstyle and equipt several different types of guns, for your secondary and primary. You can be a jet and fly through the air and just cruise and kill things. You can be in an attack boat and kill things while on water. You can be in an apc and be able to go in the water and on land. This isn’t mentioning all the vehicles, like tanks, Rhib boats, transport/attack/scout helicopters, hoverboats, bikes, and more.

There is a decent amount of grinding in this game, I remember trying to get a pistol I want. Let's say you wanna get a pistol, you have to get kills with pistols to get points for the pistol, same goes for upgrading any other guns like shotguns. Same for tanks/vehicles. You also need to unlock all the equipment for each class alongside guns. There are battlepacks, which can give you a 25%, 50%, 100%, 200% xp boost which’ll boost the xp you get from kills.. Some guns/gadgets you can’t even get by just using the class or gun, and you have to do specific assignments for each one. It can be a lot, it just depends on what you wanna get, or if you just wanna play the game for fun.

There is also a campaign, it's about 6 hours long according to howlongtobeat website, I don't really recall how much it took me, as I played the multiplayer most of the time. You do get weapons from this campaign though that you can use in the multiplayer.

There is also a marking system. Where you press q to mark something and it appears on friendlies with a red triangle thing at the top of the thing you marked. Some servers may change this setting.
You also have emblems, which each person can customize in an external website, called battlelog battlefield 4 . You'll see it on your gun and any vehicle you drive, which is pretty neat. There's also a website with custom battlefield emblems too to use.

Bugs

One bug I had was that punkbuster for a little bit kept kicking me out. It’s the anti cheat that battlefield 4 uses. Which it would for a little bit just kick me out whether it be when I loaded or the such. I reinstalled a while ago and it seemed to fix the issue. You can also as far as i'm aware also reinstall punkbuster too and see if it fixes it, if you ever have this issue.

The server browser is also sometimes funky and will display an incorrect number of players. It could display almost max and then you join and it's not so much almost max. You can also check this in battlelog for battlefield 4 though, and go to the server browsers to make sure its correct.

Overall though, on sale this game is great on sale. Fun to play and also destructible. It has a lot of maps, replayability and also in general is very good. It has a few bugs but overall a very good and fun shooter game.

Early Access Review
Pavlov is an awesome shooter game, after about 45 hours it is a game I feel like I will always come back to, it's great for the base price and is one of the first vr only games I purchased. Although I bought it full price, If you can snag it on sale it's an even better deal as it goes on sale for as cheap as 5 dollars. (Like right now as of time of writing) It honestly is a great game to pick up in my opinion.

What makes this game fun is it has multiplayer and offline, alongside being a shooter game with a pretty decent variety of modern guns, alongside world war 2 weapons like the ppsh. I remember for the first while of the game I went on offline and played against bots and really only played the vanilla maps, and even that only was really fun and got me the basics of the game, alongside of course the tutorial that is included. Online is also something to look into, alongside the fact that it has a pretty big massive modding community.

The game also has a decent amount of vanilla modes and maps, modding obviously is awesome and helps but you have stuff like gun game, search and destroy, zombies, deathmatch, and others online, you also have a shooting range you can access and just practice or mess around with the guns offline or even while waiting for a game to load sometimes, and this isn't even talking about some of the game modes online and the mods.

Do you wanna play cod zombies in vr? How about a gamemode like trouble in terrorist town but on a variety of comminuty maps, whether it be a cod map like mentioned, for example terminal or just a different modded map. The modding community is honestly wild and I feel like I haven’t even visited all the mods, whether it be modded zombies from different games, or just flat out game modes, like I remember playing a version of gmod and just spawning stuff in from a tool gun and just having a fight. There's also vehicles in this game as well, like I remember playing pavz (which is kinda like a different version of dayz not as complex) and just driving around an atv, while also not knowing who to trust and dying a lot.

I feel like the experience of a map simply in vr is just different enough then if you were on it in pc. It's like the first time I was in terminal from cod modded in the game, looking around in it and just feeling like I was there. Playing factory from tarkov and looking and walking around feeling like I was there and also just looking down was an interesting experience. The fact that someone made and modded these maps I mentioned alongside several more is just awesome.

Talking with people as well can be fun, and well the game can also just be funny sometimes. Whether it be because a terrorist in trouble in terroist town (ttt) like ran up to a group witha a c4 and blew them all up. Playing one in the chamber and running around with a knife because you missed your only shot and laughing about it. There's a lot of moments in the community I enjoyed, though the experience can vary.

The bugs that exist in this game, I can’t really think of much, I do remember the game crashing once or so, but I feel like there weren’t much memorable bugs or anything that was bad, and if I experience more or remember any, i'll add them.

Overall it's a great vr game, because of the modding and also probably the fact of how immersive vr is in general and how much more real everything feels. Modded stuff, maps, gamemodes and the game in general is very fun and one of the first vr games I bought and will be something I remember and continue playing alongside the fact I have much more to experience in terms of mods.

Do you want to
-get yelled by the commander for getting a tank stuck for 10 minutes while leading a squad?
-watch your friend drive over a land mine and blow up?
-get screamed by the commander for using the 3rd btr?
-hear micspam galore before the game starts as squads upon squad are piled in logistic trucks?
-watch your friend lose control of a helicopter while screaming "Brace brace!" as you pummel towards the ground?

Do I recommend this game? yes.

I now have a crippling addiction of downloading metro exodus wallpapers, and being like thats so cool! then downloading 5 more, then being like thats so cool! then downloading 5 more, then realizing that metro exodus is a broad term and only describes one game and then searching up metro, then downloading, 5 more.
10/10 I probably need therapy.

This game, was amazing honestly I enjoyed most of it as not to say this game is perfect 10/10, most games will not be, always gonna be that one glaring issue and in my opinion in metro exodus that one glaring issue is just bugs!

THE GOOD
The good is that most of its good, the story makes sense and safe to say its really action packed and really has no issue, sure some parts could be boring some parts may be found a bit difficult/you may have to think of some other ways, but this may be for specific people as I rarely got bored of the game, I really got tired and really recommend taking breaks as well, don't get me started on the scavenging and crafting, the scavenging is great, need a weapon and pick it up? hold e, need to grab ammo from a weapon or just the attachments? hold r, although sometimes I do recall there being an issue with looting corpses by guns, which obviously when you kill an npc/enemy they drop their gun near them, so that may be hard and cause some issues, but the attachments you get by pressing r can be used via your backpack, which I wanna point out I appreciate that the gun fight dosent stop making it feel like a "game" it continues as a real life gun fight would, it wouldn't just stop. Whole point is with the backpack system you can change your attachments instead of in previous games where you would have to either use military grade bullets, or pick up enemy weapons, but maybe take some compromises, or do a mix of picking up weapons and spending bullets, you can do what you want alongside crafting some other small items like cans, and it mainly eliminates the need, dont get me started on how your gun can jam now and where at one point my gun was so dirty during a fire fight, it basically made my ak a burst gun where I had to pull the charging handle back after a few shots, stuff like this makes you consider your resources if you should clean or maybe craft more ammo for your next journey, knowing your gun might jam more often, alongside that you can pick up stuff like green mushrooms to use in crafting/ scavenge lockers, boxes, corpses for any craftables

Ok, I wasnt always a stealth guy whatsoever always going in gun blazing but some missions stealth is full on required, or just recommended for the amount of enemies, but I never went stealth that much so I can't comment on it, but it seemed ok and kinda punishing if even one guard spots you, but that would be how it works if someone sees an enemy they are gonna scream and make sure all the guards know, you also have cans and throwing knives to assist you if you decide to go stealth

The story really isnt a mess, the total gameplay I found is around 15-20? hours and it depends on how you spend your time what you explore what you don't, which I also really like how you can explore the world and hows it a bit less linear than the previous games, although you don't have to do them if you want to and progress with the story, although if you do more content and all that, you also have to consider the fact that people speak/do stuff that you may wanna listen to as it adds to the world and makes you feel like your part of the world, and not just the whole word, people having normal convos a drink yata and some of it can be interacted with. If you decide to get the "Gold Edition" as well which you can play after because it spoils the main story, it adds about 10 hours as well, sams story being 7-8, and two colonels being 2-3? all these times obviously will vary on the person

THE BAD
Ok, dont get me wrong there are obviously other things wrong or some things, like for example in some parts of the game as not to spoil it, is there are parts in the game where it can be hard to tell where to go, which is really the only issue besides bugs i've had, but these appeared on the previous games, 2033 and last light were there was at least one or a couple sections I had to look up because I genuinely had no idea to go and it ended up being something else then I thought or something that I just did not notice! Sure, this will be different for some people but as some people may have a more keen eye, some people may just investigate more, so you can take this with a grain of salt

The main thing is bugs oh oh, the bugs alright, so theres a few bugs ive known/experienced myself some may be rare and one that seems to be common from another friend, one is probably just launch issues, sometimes it takes a while to launch or may prompt you to launch in safe mode, which can be a pain making the resolution, I remember even when i had this game on xbox pc gamepass when that existed, and it just full on wouldn't launch, but this issue did not occur on steam version so I doubt its an issue, now my most prominent issue is not really big bugs, I had one where I bugged under the whole map in the first mission, but it wasn't that bad just reload yata, but theres one where you drive something and when you open the map you grow 1 foot suddenly, making your character taller and you see really high, what I found as well is to fix this I had to get out of the car, or use the map while or when not moving to get it to unbug, which was really annoying and pestering me especially because damn you kinda either had to barely use your map, or get out of the car if you do and it bugs or slow down, also I tab out a lot which I found is a terrible mistake, I had to reboot the whole game several times either after using discord overlay or tabbing in and out, because it would not let my character move or bug where it would basically be infinetly/for a bit selecting grenades/cans and I would have to listen to that for about 1 minutes, I now have the can noise stuck in my head, and it would also like show my weapons kinda in the tab menu, so maybe try not to tab out of this game too too much

With all this considered should you get the game though? Yes! Sure there are issues, and bugs, but personally they didn't really break the experience too too much and some are only for a specific section, although these bugs obviously vary between person to person, it's just safe to address them. Besides the bugs and a few minor gripes of where to go, and sometimes some things tripping, its a great experience with a good story, good gameplay and you really feel immersed in the game, the environment shining around you and you can interact/listen into convos

Overall, good game with some issues and bugs but if you can get past them the experience should be really fun with little issues, especially if you played the previous games. Pick it up on sale, whether it be the gold bundle or not and you should have a lovely time with the game!

it can be a bit luck based making some runs SIGNIFICANTLY easier then others because you got a good weapon or like a few new crewmembers but its pretty fun non the less
