Inscryption is a creepy adventure game that uses a card game to tell a story.
Nobody should really buy Inscryption thinking that they are getting into a new MTG or Hearthstone or Slay the Spire. You should definitely get this game if you like the other Dan Mullins games or if you want an interesting story told through a mashup of genres.
A fellow Trekkie, I see!
Graphically this game looks amazing but I don't think it'll unseat Slay the Spire with me just yet.
I'm not a fan of deckbuilding card games, but after reading your think piece, I'll have to pick it up soon!
