One of the best hidden cat games I've played to date. The colour mode which you unlock after completion is a real feast for the eyes and made replay even more enjoyable with its beautifully done shading, evoking all the wholesome, whimsical warmth of Christmas greeting cards. A warning if you are easily startled, some of the sound effects can be a bit loud. There are fun interactables as well as cats but they do not distract.

+ Free to play
+ Steam achievements
+ Unlockable colour mode
+ Lots of settings to make it comfortable to play

This is an odd game to review.

Angel Legion is essentially a 3D version of turn-based hero/card games; you battle with a team of six "angels" that you slowly acquire, replace and upgrade via patient daily busy work, spreadsheets and/or credit card: enter the idle part, a misnomer. There is an auto-battle option for most battles but it is only for convenience; it's often more expedient to play without it enabled as you have more tools and options at your disposal.

If you have played P2W mobile trash like Clash of Clans you will be familiar with the grindset and modus operandi:

At first the pace seems exciting but will soon slow down to a daily log in ritual. This is by design.
You have a single account and you choose a server (typically the most recently created).
New servers are routinely spawned and the less populated merged.
Any money you spend is tied to the server, so you could whale on multiple servers if you are so inclined.
Everything related to progression is on timers that require routinely logging in to manage.

There is a weak attempt at a backstory and cringe interactions with Miya as you progress. You can collect outfits and change cosmetic appearance of your angels to a limited degree (hair and makeup).

+ Simple concept, fun co-op game
+ Style points for nice retro music and cute pixel art
+ Multi-platform via Twitch account
- No Steam achievements
- No controller support, very limited keyboard support
- Bit too barebones UX mouse only

+ Some fun maps/modes that limit abilities
+ Some fun crossover skins
- Still P2W
- Greedy and rigged gacha system
- Buggy as hell
- No crossplay with consoles
- No cross progression

It's F2P copy of Fall Guys from small Finnish studio Kitka. Like FG both games acquired by big company (Epic and Scopely respectively) and both went downhill from there.

Compared to FG, instead of giving Punch to everyone, it was P2W for a long time, but you rarely saw punch and ball outside of tournaments. Then they introduced Abilities/Ranked mode update which appeared to make abilities more available to F2P, but in reality it just made them spammed and ruined a lot of maps which weren't designed for this sort of play.

Additionally they made the strange decision to reward newer players with OP Hug power. So one kamikaze hugger could cause you to lose hours of earned Ranked points.

With the removal of main way to earn any gems you can barely unlock and level up skills enough to compete with players who have a whole suite of the strongest abilities. In this respect it is just like these P2W mobile games where the regular spenders are the most powerful and impossible to compete against.

Innovative entry in the "gamification of Steam inventory" genre, Idle Kitties Online introduces item crafting and "idling together" chat lobby to connect with other IKO players.

Has cute meows and adorable kitty art work. Attentive developer responded quickly to bug reports.

+ Cool doomer theme
+ Has Steam achievements
+ Speedrun Leaderboards
- Doomers are hard to click (using touchpad)
- Can't 100% without buying DLC

I enjoyed this dark take on the hidden object genre. Nice music and funny doomers set in appropriately bleak environment. Although there are not as many achievements, you get two levels for free.

Accessibility suggestions to add hint ability, and improved clicking on touchpad, especially as the game has completion timer leaderboard for speedrunners.
