After my nearly 1000 hours of playtime in this game, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this game.
Whether you just started out, or you've been playing since beta, you'll still have fun by hopping into a casual game and doing whatever of the 9 beautiful classes. Its mostly balanced play, and you wont regret installing it.

EDIT TIME.
After reaching 1000 hours, I can confirm that this game is wonderful still, and it's always good fun to play. Its free, and fun, and it's still normally bug free, there's literally zero reasons to not install this game. Do it, and you will NOT regret it.

After nearly another 500 hours ticked onto this game, I can say that it still holds up decently well, but the botting problem gets worse by the day, and valve does nearly nothing about it anymore. It's very unfortunate to see such a fall from grace, but you can still probably have some fun, and definitely still have fun on the community servers.
