This is one of the most unique strategy games I've ever seen. The absolute realism of the structure is so cool. However, it's almost like the dev has never played a strategy game. I wish the combat was more in depth. I do like the 12% chance of death no matter what, because that's how modern combat is. You get hit first, you lose, but you can't do things like make screens, tanks have the same attack range as artillery, and god the art style is lazy. If you aren't good at pixel art, just hire an artist to make a few assets. Please. The units hurt my eyes to look at. In both modes, they're ugly.

26 hours in over the past 6 years or so, but this game really isn't that beginner friendly. And I play Space Engineers. XD The game is hard and not intuitive. The building mechanic is frustrating, the controls are frustrating, the ui is frustrating. It desperately needs an overhaul. That being said, many people seem to LOVE it and can build AMAZING things. So, it's by no means a bad game. I just can't get it down.

This game seems cool, but I haven't the slightest idea how to play it. I don't want to read a novel to play this game that has so little variety. I mean... the tech trees are appreciated, but tiny. Idk. I'm good

If you like this game, go check out Silica. Similar premise. I love strategy games and I love that I can also take part in the action. I'm a US Army veteran, but if I played this game when I was a kid, I woulda joined the navy.

I mean... It's cute and all, but kind of annoying. I like the exploration and whatnot, but the game gives you *no* help. Like. I'm missing some small pieces, looking at you Sunless city and I haven't the slightest clue. The game goes from fun adventuring to frustrating back tracking.
Also, the story doesn't make any coherent sense. Like. At all.

I beat it in one sitting. This is an AMAZING example of making a good game as opposed to a long one. Every game nowadays needs a "huge open world and hundreds of hours of content" (here's looking at you Ghost of Tsushima) ----(that game SUCKS and has NO business being an open world game. It would have benefited infinitely being a linear game)----
This game feels open enough, but somehow is always dragging you along to correct path. You never really feel lost. Just intrigued. I want a book about this now. The story is so interesting and amazing while only giving each race? Faction? a couple dozen words. Everything is so magic yet grounded and fleshed out. This is such a spectacular story that I can't recommend it enough. I don't even like puzzle games, but the puzzles were always fun and fresh and engaging enough that I never got overwhelmed or bored or anything. I love it.
I hope you build other games and expand on this world!!! I want to see more of the tower.

This game is awful. The #1 highest rated feature about this game, and the only one I expected to be fun, was the ship building. But no, like the rest of the game, it's poorly implemented, frustrating, not intiuitive, and just plain awful. I don't know if I can keep playing.

Also, everyone compares this game to No Man's Sky. This game is NOTHING like NMS. If anything, the more I play it, the more it feels like borderlands 3 with less fun stuff and more annoying NPCs. Honestly, every npc is a huge jerk or boring or frustrating or stupid or any combination of those. I haven't bumped into one yet I enjoy. Even Vasco, the robot companion, is annoying.

I got this game for free and I still want my money back. :(

I AM BEEP!

I've had this game for YEARS. I finally hopped on a server and met some guys that showed me the ropes and the past few days have been nothing but this game. From dawn till dusk. Sometimes dawn to dawn.
I enjoy the vanilla game, but a few QOL mods I suggest! The nanobot build station and the build info mod. The first one is just a way for me to kinda cheat. I build everything then plop the build station down and it gets anything that I may have missed. Nothing hurts like grinding away blocks cuz you forgot to weld the one behind it. Next is the info mod. It has TONS of information in it, but my favorite is it tracks where you're losing air from in your ships. SO helpful since not all blocks are airtight, apparently.

It's more of a puzzle game that a roguelike. You have to rely on planning and pure luck, but you can usually do pretty well with what you're given. I do wish it had more roguelike elements. There's really not much in the way of upgrades. You can't upgrade the character at all. Also, I've only unlocked the second character, but that guy is *useless.*
