I did my last review on Rust when I had around 1.3k hours, that was 4 years ago. The game has changed a lot during this period, but not only did the game change but also the community and the people you play the game with. During these last for years, this also happened to me, new friends, experiences, funny moments. The people that you play the game with, effect the overall experience by a lot. You can play solo, but then you miss out on sharing the experience with the people you like or enjoy spending time with. For the last year I tried limiting my time that I spend playing Rust, not because its a bad game, but because it is Dangerously addictive. It is probably more addictive then gambling, and It has very negative effects on your life. I mean playing 20 hours in 1 day, for three days minimum non stop, and then when you go to sleep you keep the game running in the background and keep your headphones next to you so if some Crazy ass Russian group decided to raid you at 5 in the morning you would have a chance of defending your work. And when you lose all your stuff, most of the time you will feel depressed and miserable. And then after a few days roll by, you decide to hope on Rust and do the same ♥♥♥♥ OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN, until you get more depressed and more miserable. Until you quit, and decide it is enough, and change your life for the better. Rust is truly a Master Piece of a game, until it becomes like work and you work 2.5 times more than the normal shift. If you are considering buying this, game then I think it is one of the best games out there. Surviving, building, defending, farming, grinding, raiding, making alliances, etc. Make the game truly amazing, until it becomes too addictive. :( Now looking back on all of the time I spent playing and mastering the game feels, pretty neutral, I had hundreds if not thousands of great moments with my friends while playing, but I feel like it is time for me to finally stop.
