pre-release update: not worth playing a lot
post 1.0 release update: buy the game even if you don't like shooter games, this is the most fun tactical sim game out there right now
after 700 hours: devs don't really care, they kinda leave updates stale after they release an update, and it's repulsive. some things that are so obviously broken are not fixed even after 3 years of bug's existence
TLDR: you need mods after a lot of hours to have fun lazy devs, AI acts weird by default.
