I don't know what I was expecting. It runs clunky...and honestly, in hindsight...despite the era and historical points, what does it implicate when having to force someone to play as a confederate soldier? Maybe civil war games are honestly a poor genre choice.

God this brings back memories. Young and in school and bored and drawing little stick figure wars in my note books. Love it, love the idea and so far the execution is great!

I run a shop that has a cat in it. I have a group of adventurers, one who is named after my significant other. My significant other makes a shop, with the same cat in it, cause its OUR cat. She proceeds to have a group of adventurers, one who is named after me. I am a shop keeper/adventurer/guild owner...that has some weirdly inter-dimensional cat creature as a mascot. I recommend.

Oh and you sell stuff or something another...

It has its moments of frustration though I would overall, highly recommend this game for any simulation/building fan. A lot of the negative reviews are over simple things like DLC costs, as the game typically runs smoothly with few errors. Previous expansions may be required to have the most fun however the developers have recently been launching free updates alongside DLCs that are purchasable. This is wonderful idea, as it does give the current players the indication of some money grab. The users get content and are able to buy, what usually is, more a cosmetic update.

I believe I got this with a coupon or something at $0.51. For that price, it is worth it. I wouldn't go as far as to say it is not worth the normal price tag. You will get what you pay for which is essentially a dollar per hour of play. You can obviously play more but in-terms of 100%, it takes about two hours, if that.

I don't know if its just me, but the AI on very easy are brutal...the locked random map condition on the "first map" map it rainy. I was unable to leave the "first map" so...I am just not gonna hassle. Sorry not sorry.

I struggled with this because, honestly who doesn't like a good fishing game. With the company successfully immersing us in the hunter series, it seemed an obvious win. Similarly to other posts, I cant help wonder why they wouldn't just implement it into the hunter series somehow. Especially when you feel how different the game runs. I definitely am listed as playing 93min, not 2 hours...I will reflect whether this impacts my refund.

Having apparently purchased this under the "valentines day" bundle, which had a New England expansion to the hunter series included...it piggy-backed the hours played to that game for the purchase. So I was unable to refund the game...

I will continue to play as I hope the developers eventually get it to a more enjoyable feel...but honestly this negative review speaks to STEAM as well for not honoring a refund due to such nuance details.

I really hate to not recommend this, as I see where the developers dream is and for that I wont. As there are plenty of realism fans that may give this a shot and enjoy it. But even for die-hard realism fans, it may come off as bit much.
It is not polished enough to be a "sim" game...and yet it is not flexible enough to be enjoyable as an arcade style skating game either. I had this on my wish list for a while...and despite the low play time, I did have brief moments of seeing the beautiful fluid movement. This typically ends with several frustrating moments of pure annoying bails. I get that it is realistic to the degree that it is trying to follow Skate. But it is just too jerky in moments to allow a true feel of flow.

It is a management sim...and not a good one. I really don't know what I expected, but couldn't pass the first "mission", no resources, just sitting and staring at a screen and getting KO-ed by the first series of guys. Just poorly done.

Recommend as a free fishing game, sure. But as a good game no.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I have verified files, I have altered the resolution...yet for some reason, this free, low-system requirement game, crashes often. Typically whenever I open mail in-game.
