Early Access Review
Quick, the DM is asleep. Time to make that overpowered Spiked Chain tripping Wizard/Druid combo you always dreamed of. If that strategy doesn't work, just summon a bunch of hasted Tyrannosaurus Rex dinos on top of your enemies in a small enclosed space. What could go wrong?

Pretty faithful adaptation of 3.5 rules with some House twists. Huge emphasis on crafting but that aspect of the game is very tedious while lacking any sort of Artificer (or even alt classes like Expert) specific path to augment or specialise in it. The current best method (to not waste feats on otherwise useful party members) is to sub in wizards from the tavern when you need them to tinker on something. The bones of something great are here but it's missing some core elements in the game loop (also Bards are missing!!). The dungeon mechanic is a good example of this - a procedural series of rooms that are either empty (why not even use the sample descriptions/tables from 3.5 resources like DM guide), full of traps (with stats/descriptions pulled from 3.5 resources like the DM guide), or a combat in a small area. The loop (watching the avatar tick around empty squares) is not fun but the core elements of dungeon running are there.

no, but for real, trip-chain builds go SUPER HARD! that and halberd trip builds, anything with reach!

Also, agreed, I never really liked the dungeon format. it seemed weird that there were only 3 things that occurred, and that treasure was typically n the hallways.

also, the name of the dungeon basically never mattered in the layout of the dungeon, towers weren't confined to a "tower" shape, and they didn't say "go up", and often things that don't imply multiple levels, like "graveyard", were in fact, multi-level affairs.
