Let me start with this. This game is great for the first 10-20 hours of gameplay and then drops into a pit of mind numbingly boring sailing. You basically spend around 70% of your time on a boat sailing doing almost nothing because there is literally nothing to do but wait until you reach your destination(aside from the megaladon and kraken which rarely show up and when they do the meg is basically not even worth killing and the kraken will sink you indefinitely if you have no idea what you're doing or another ship rolls up to sink you while you're getting F******). The open session is broken asf since the player base is majority trolls that join wait for you to collect loot and sink you and then leave. Rare wont do anything about it because they cant ban more than half their player base for a month without the game seeming dead in turn causing the rest of the player base to leave. This game from the getgo was basically all around a horrible idea because you cant play with randos you cant play alone in your own server (because there arent any) you cant trust other players 90% of the time even if they raise the alliance flag which is a total bluff move ive used it to fake friendly only to sink them after their use to me was over, so i could take all the loot for myself. Dont bother playing solo unless you're confident in your ability to sink full player ships by yourself. My take from all this dont buy this game you'll be saving your money for a better game in the near future, Elite dangerous or No Mans Sky are basically the same concept without other players consistantly sinking you and you can play by yourself. Today when i posted this review i was sunk 3 times over the cours of 2 hours and i wasnt able to complete a single mission so rare heres your review. this game is a dumpster fire that no one will acknowledge i hope no one purchases this game after reading this review until rare has fixed their game.
