A boss battle where you can't fight, but have to parry dozens of attacks with PERFECT timing. Miss just ONE input and you have to do it all over again. What in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥?!

Another game that starts fun and promising but at the mid point mark turns into frustration. And for me another case of wanting my money back because the game blantantly lies about settings or difficulty. What's the point of difficulty settings when easy mode still demands the same perfection as the highest difficulty?

Barely any story, boring characters, downright stupid skills that shouldn't be skills at all and everything wrapped up in typical open world busy work. A map cluttered with so many icons that you can barely see the actual map anymore. And very often the game tells to go to point X, but of course you can't just go there, you have to find the most complicated way to reach that place.

There's actually not much to say, it's typical fun DMC gameplay. No more platforming, levels are more linear and there's no backtracking anymore. The new third character V is an interesting addition and plays totally different to Nero or Dante. There are a few levels where can choose your player character but only one level where you can choose between all 3 of them. The only thing that's not so great this time is the story because there isn't much of a story, but there are a few twists.

This game has improved in almost everything compared to the previous 3 games. Platforming still sucks. It still has some parts with fixed camera like the previous games, but most of the time you can control the camera yourself. Combat is even more fun than before with lots of new options. The new character Nero plays differently from Dante, he only has one sword and one gun, but additionally he has a demon arm that can grab enemies and pull them towards you. Bigger enemies can't be pulled towards you but instead you are pulled towards them. With that arm you can also perfom powerful throw attacks. Dante plays a lot like in DMC 3 but style and weapons can now be switched on the fly for even more crazy combos.

The most important thing first: Don't play DMC 2! Just ignore its existence.

DMC 1 and 3 are still fun games but they also didn't age well in some parts. There isn't much platforming but the existing platforming is terrible thanks to the camera. Combat is still great but also has to deal with the terrible camera. But the worst part is, in my opinion at least, all of them are "where the ♥♥♥♥ do I have to go" type of games. You need a good memory of the whole game map or you will often run around in circles.
If you're looking for a good story you will be disappointed with DMC 1, but the story of DMC 3 is really good for an action adventure hack'n slash.

And one last thing: Don't play DMC 2! Just ignore its existence.

I bought the Champion Edition plus the season 5 stuff and this is a big disappointment after SSF4AE. When starting the game for the first time it takes forever to even get into the main menu because it bombards you with user agreements and pop ups. You have to find a setting to turn off advertisements or you will be bombarded with those constantly too. There are loot boxes and you can grind in-game currency. What the ♥♥♥♥ is this? I thought this is a fighting game, not some mobile or live service ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

The game doesn't even have an intro. There are 2 intro videos you can watch in the gallery but they are very low quality. Arcade mode has several different modes or so it seems at first, but it's actually just limiting the characters you can choose for most arcade modes. There's actually a story mode this time but it's another disappointment. Character stories are just 3 one round fights interwoven with crudely drawn pictures. The big story mode is a bit better and has at least real cutscenes, but the story is stupid and badly written, even for a fighting game story, and the cutscenes have lots of clipping when characters interact with each other.

I can't say anything about the online stuff because I only play singleplayer stuff and the singleplayer experience was much better in SF4. And if you care a lot about graphics you will be disappointed too because SF5 looks almost exactly like SF4.

I love horror, but I've seen so many horror movies and played so many horror games that for a long time nothing managed to even slightly scare me anymore. In the few actual good horror games or movies I enjoyed the creepy atmosphere but that's all. The Mortuary Assistant is the first game since Fatal Frame/Project Zero 2 that actually scared me.

Addition: Since release the game got several updates with more options and features, including a new ending that expanded the lore.

Nice idea but annoying execution. Instead of just letting you explore the halls you have to avoid security drones, rewire locks, sneak through security lasers and solve minor puzzles. The drones can be disabled for a few seconds by shooting them with a T-Shirt gun.
