This review is coming from a Day 1 experience, so as expected there was a couple overlooked details and the game runs a little choppily. This tends to be the norm these days so I won't bother prattling on about it.

On to my thoughts about the game otherwise. I do think this is a good improvement over 22, and worth getting. It's what the change from FS19 to FS22 should have been, with plenty of new stuff right out the gate. Most DLC brands and features carry over to the base game. The new menus and GUI are certainly different but with some adjustment proved quite satisfactory. I particularly like how some tabs have been consolidated so scrolling through a million things is no longer an issue. One problem I do have is regarding the equipment, as most of it is modern and only a few years old at most. FS19, and 22 both had a decent selection of Vintage, or at least somewhat old equipment to use out of the gate, whereas this game has hardly any. What you get in the starter farm on Riverbend Springs is about it. Modding will make up for this in time though, it always has. Speaking of Riverbend Springs, it's the only map I've played on so far but I have really enjoyed it. Sporting a lovely rural and cozy atmosphere, I love how it centers around the River, even having fog covering much of the lower parts in the mornings and evenings as a result.

As for my favorite things they've added, I'm a very detail oriented person. I like small visual and audio details that come together to make for an extremely immersive experience. The new terrain deformation is absolutely a highlight. Instead of 2D textures, you get actual tire tracks and Plow Furrows, among other things. The sounds have also been vastly improved, each tractor sounds different in it's own way, and certain trailers and implements will make realistic sounds as they are unfolded, used and driven around. A great example is empty trailers making a clattering and bouncing sound as they go, since they aren't weighted down. Overall, I would recommend this newest installment. Maybe not just yet, wait for a sale or until the initial teething troubles are sorted out, and especially once we get a good selection of Mods available.
