A great puzzle platformer. Great puzzles to solve and constantly adding new ideas to different stages to mix things up. Great and challenging boss fights as well. This game should have more attention than it currently has.

So I've been following this game for years, i was getting worried that it wouldn't meet my expectations, but not only did it meet it but it exceeded my expectations. An action platformer with awesome boss battles that will require strategy to defeat. The bosses will kick you ass, especially heroic battles (when a boss is defeated you can fight it again in a heroic battle which are even tougher) but the battles are entertaining and rewarding when won.

A good variety of weapons, items and abilities that can be crucial to help you beat bosses. I enjoyed the story and even the voice acting was well done. The graphics are top notch. I don't know how it was before the patches, but i didn't encounter with any bugs and the combat and animation are fluid. One of my favourite games I've ever played. A must get.

One of my favourite games on my library. Great and unique. A tribute to 30's cartoons, they did it perfectly. Nothing like it anywhere.

The game is mainly boss battles with a couple of run and gun levels similar to Metal Slug. All the bosses are unique and entertaining, which is great because you will die a lot, but the battles are great so you won't get to frustrated and its very rewarding when you do win. There aren't a whole lot of different selections when it comes to weapons and special abilities, but each one can be helpful for certain bosses.

Seriously just get this game, one of the best.

Bland, your constantly fighting against the same enemy just reskinned. These basic enemies also are sponges, takes forever to kill one. when u have a bunch after you, you will get hit since you can't cancel attacks to defend yourself from the many bombs or arrows they shoot at you. The combos that u learn as you go through out aren't even that neat or to different, and even then good luck doing these combos, you'll just get hit by a projectile anyways.

Every level just feels the same just like the enemies it just feels reskinned, fight a whole bunch of the same enemies and then boss, repeat. Also its easy to lose yourself, like seriously everything just blends in together when there are numerous enemies on the screen. The game overall just feels like a repetitive grind.

Just a bit of a mindless mediocre shooter. Just cover and shoot. The controls when shooting is fine but things like running and trying to cover feels weird, especially since its the same button so sometimes u don't cover right away because u need to stop running first, just really weird why they made it the same button. Even jumping over cover sometimes only works when it wants to,

I can't believe that this game is still over 30 bucks... Theres a lot of better shooters out there, this is just one of those u play and then forget.

Amazing action platformer that turns more into a metroidvania halfway through the game. Of course one of its gimmicks is switching from 8-bit to 16-bit and the graphics in both modes are great. Usually these retro games have some cliche/boring stories, but the messenger actually have a pretty good storyline with mystery and surprises along the way, as well some great dialogues between characters that will surely get you laughing.

Each level will bring something new to the table that keeps things interesting along with great boss battles throughout the game. Once u do get a majority of the upgrades and start mastering the moves it does feel like it gets a bit easy towards the end (at least for me) but i guess you can always challenge yourself and skip out the upgrades. Amazing/catchy soundtrack as well, u will find urself humming some of the songs.

I really dont understand how this is a very positive but yet have mixed recent reviews. This a great shoot em up game. The game is difficult, so prepare to die a lot, but this game also have a lot of replay value. Controls feel great, responsive and smooth. Game offers a lot of variety when it comes to weapons and upgrades. There are also several different game modes and secrets hidden to keep you going.

A fun game. Not a lot in the story but that doesnt really matter for this game. Controls take a little while to master but you'll get the hang of it. The game does a good job of introducing new mechanics/puzzles and raise the difficulty as you progress. My one big problem was that the camera will sometimes just go a little crazy on u when ur in tight corners. Others maybe fine but i did get dizzy after a little while. Either way this is a unique puzzle platformer that you should try out.
