Later ended up touring with the D as I was Bad Religion's*A band I adore* tour manager and promoter for yeaaars, and brooks* br drummer* took over on drums for the d ooomama
I digress oops!
it was meant to be a comic book call, of the day of the tentacle character Hogie
google that guy.. yeah man..
for the roadies man,,yeah..
Hugs
really? It was originally pitched as a racing game with never leaving the car!
think about that!
So ok add getting out, and jumping of course...
BUT no not jumping ahh tessellation issues sucked and the surface you see vs the coded surface didnt match most places on the map as it was meant for driving, not walking on, this lead to falling through the map.
its why any game cars or objects drop a little on load, or cars or npcs are in the ground..
tessellation issues to the texture map.
What was really cool is I was friends with Tom before the game, which didnt get great reviews but the fans were loyal, and the soundtrack kicks arse.
looks around.. nope
brutal legend was also a sob to fix, originally we had jumping.
That fell through, literally the map..
so then it was going to be JUST a racing game + tower defense.
Tim wanted Tower defense only.. and might indeed make a brutal legend tower d game.
or as it was dubbed the "double fine racers" game
A take on old cartoon whacky races, but with all characters from double fine ooo
