Are you a survivor or a killer? Regardless, here are all the definitions that you need to know before you start accusing others. It'll prevent you from making yourself look like an idiot.

Tunneling: Tunneling occurs when the killer targets the player who was just unhooked. This is only considered acceptable when the killer didn't intentionally tunnel them but found the recently unhooked survivor by accident after losing track of the other players.

Slugging: Slugging happens when the killer fully downs a survivor but doesn't hook him/her, instead going after another survivor. This is a strategy used to apply more pressure on the survivors. It's generally seen as unfun when the killer slugs all four survivors, although that depends on the scenario. If all four survivors are downed at four generators because they were trying to save with a flashlight, the survivors are the ones making a tactical mistake, not the killer.

Farming: Farming is when a survivor unhooks another survivor while the killer is still near the hooked survivor. Many survivors mistake this as tunneling because often, when the killer downs the unhooker and the person who just got unhooked, the survivors blame the killer. In reality, this is a mistake on the survivors' part.

Camping: Camping is when the killer camps a hooked survivor until they die. It's one of the most boring ways to play the game. However, camping to secure a kill in the endgame is acceptable because the killer's objective of defending the generators is gone. Securing at least one kill is good enough.

Proxy Camping: Proxy camping is when the killer stays nearby the hooked survivor but still monitors the other generators. When a survivor gets unhooked, the killer often chases the unhooker to apply pressure or tunnel. Proxy camping depends on the scenario. If it's a three-generator game and the survivor is hooked near those three generators, you can't really blame the killer due to generator placement.

End Game Scenario: At this point, tunnel, slug or camp - it doesn't matter as long as you secure a kill. That's what's important. If survivors complain, they've likely never played as a killer and don't understand your perspective.

Congratulations, you now know all these definitions, so please stop complaining about minor issues that aren't the fault of the killer or survivor, but rather due to your lack of skill. But remember, Dead by Daylight doesn't have rigid rules, so you can do whatever you want. 😉
