Brings back memories of playing Age of Empires 1 with only 1 disk with my dad, we would put the disk in one PC and then swap it to another with the only downside being the first person would have no music. Then we got two copies of Age of Empires 2 and I remember always losing to my dad growing up playing regicide, a game mode I thought was the standard until I got the HD version of AoE 2 many years ago.

The game caters to many different types of play styles with at the moment of writing this review has 35 different Civilizations, each with their own tech tree, unique unit and play style; finding which one is perfect for you is a real treat as no two matches will play the same way!

Fast forward to today and I now play the Definitive Edition with him constantly and it brings back all those memories as well as seeing both my father and I slowly improve over the course of each match. As of writing this review I do not have many hours but I can 100% tell you, if you enjoy Real-Time Strategy (RTS) games of any sort and you have the specs to run this, GET IT, you will not be disappointed!

TL;DR - My Nostalgia for Age of Empires 2 is one heck of a drug, but one I love and am addicted to nonetheless and most likely will be until the day I die. Buy this game if you love RTS games.
