My first fortress stood for 10 years before i moved on. Didn't even find caverns. Very peaceful all things considered.
My second fort started out great. Until i noticed the hydra a stones throw away from my cart. Every Dwarf and animal was slaughtered instantly.
10/10 would strike the earth again.

I'm no video game critic, but this has a lot to love. A large chunk of the game is free to play now so go ahead and try it. If it doesn't hold your attention for too long that cool. If it keeps you coming back for dozens of hours then its for you. Either way I hope you have fun.
