Product received for free

I got the game for free and never planned on buying any DLCs. Now, my library says I have the base version of Payday 2, the store says I own one of two ultimate editions, and now the game doesn't start up. Does Overkill expect me to buy the bundle to continue playing a game that I had no intention of spending money on?

No, they don't expect you to do that. You can play base game anytime you want. If you have problems go ask in the forums
