After doing mostly everything in Payday 3. Being day 1 player on it and having fun. I cannot recommend it on full price. Sale? Maybe.

Aside from them making statement of working with less investment from their reports, Payday 3 suffers of doing baby steps improvements with each update they make. A lot of QoL features were not implement back in Payday 3, even some of them that were in Day 1 on Payday 2/Payday The Heist were lacking until Operation Medic Bag got announced (It took 5 months after release of Payday 3 to implement ability to press unready button).
Worst of all. Since the updates only come in month, it means that glitches and bugs are not fixed until a new update comes out. There is no hotfixes updates. Even when it comes out, they might not be fixed so the issue can still persist for few months until it gets fixed.

The biggest issue of it for me, is: Lack Of Replayability.
The main thing on Payday 2 is that a lot of heist has RNG on it. For example in Hoxton Breakout, there is many places where Truck Driver will have to stop for you to remove one of obstacle. You could get two of them however there would be 5 randomized obstacles and they are placed randomly between four stops.
There is alot of RNG placed on it to make sure you're not getting bored after playing it 3 times.

Houston Breakout suffers the issue of that playing once on loud and stealth is enough to see what map offers. The closest rng changes that has is escorting houston and where type of evidence does it have. Otherwise it will always play the same.

Even if they release Armor 2.0 and rework skillsets. Unless if they can put out many quanity maps (which is bad because quality will be worse) or make heists overhaul, i doubt they will bring more players to Payday 3.

I wouldn't recommend Payday 3 at full price right now. Sale will depend on how much they put. I can't say wait for them to work more since in the future there will be more games that will be much more fun and better than Payday 3 (even games that has been released during 2024). And from stating that Payday 3 on year 2 will be work with less investment, i have doubts for Payday 3 future.

Edit #1: Checked in for FWB Update. The heist is right step in direction with amount of RNGs it has but also objectives being good. However i still stand by with most likely get on sale as i am unsure of what Payday 3 future is going to be.

Edit #2: Apperently within 3 months of starting 2025. There is gonna be only one update possibility. This pisses me alot and i don't want to wait for single update that will do a minor improvement. I do not have patience for long updates in this game any longer.
