Nier Automata puts you in a world where humanity has all but vanished from earth by an alien species who in turn has created a force of machine lifeforms with the sole purpose of erradicating the last remnants of human kind who has taken refuge in the moon. In response to this, humans have devised their own android army in order to combat the alien machines and ultimately make earth habitable again.
Pretty simple premise right? well, get ready for a trip involving 3 android main characters in a quest to accomplish this and in the process, discover some things about themselves, regarding the meaning of existence itself, the reality about the world they have been made to believe and various other plot twists that you will discover as you play. This game is definitely up there as one of the best games of recent years, and there I say it, best games ever made. The story is gripping and won't let you go until you finish most of the 26 ENDINGS there are. (don't worry like 4 of them are actual endings, the rest are joke endings)
Gameplay wise, this tries to do many things and succeeds with flying colors in most of them, you'll see silky smooth hack 'n slash mechanics, RPG elements, Galaga/Ikaruga-like shooting galleries, hacking minigames. This game has a lot of Side quests that serve as means to flesh out the world around you and minor character development moments to each protagonist.
Sound design is brilliant and appropriate to every moment of the story and is very catchy in the best way possible, you'll love the OST.
In conclusion, Nier Automata is a story of androids and machines who all start to develop human emotions and traits that eventually make them face their own value and meaning in this world and question the motives for which they were created in the first place, war. Love, hatred, friendship, grief will hit all of these characters in a different way and drive their motivations to the very end.
It's a shame the PC port of this game runs so poorly but thanks to the FAR mod, the game basically becomes playable and much more optimized.
To mention some downsides, you'll face those typical "why the ♥♥♥♥ did I die" RPG moments, the boss battles can get pretty punishing (this is not necesarilly a bad thing but now you know) and the hacking minigames get pretty annoying the second playthrough.
All is forgiven with the aforementioned story, it's themes, it's variety of endings and the way it plays. Do yourself a favor and play this game. 100% recomended.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is a masterpiece on so many levels I get short of words to even condense how good it really is. The way it tackles the phenomenon of mental health and especially psychosis is brilliant, believable and at times horrifying. You can't help but empathise with Senua's situation and wholeheartedly engage yourself in the story and live it through her eyes.
If you are a player looking for an inmersive, story-driven, psychological thriller in videogame format this is what your are looking for. Not only does this game portray a unique take on the issue of mental health but is also a love letter to the works of many psychologists like Jung or Peterson that tell us about the dangers of not confronting the darkness or shadow of our unconcsious and living a life in which we come to terms with them and grow stronger as a result.
Spot on acting, Perfect sound design, intuitive gameplay, 10/10.

Hands down the best Doom game ever made. Terrific weapon lineup, cool demons to fight against and wicked difficult all-around.
I hate to say this but Doom Eternal puts Doom 2016 to shame (even though I love both games equally) by the sheer amount of things you can do.

This game introduces so much good stuff to the gameplay while keeping the essence of what the DOOM games were all about *cough*RIP N' TEAR *cough*
Damn good stuff sir...

Quite frankly this game is still barebones compared to other HOI titles, but damn do the mods make it worth it.
