I want to open this up by saying I have been a long time assassins creed fan, and have played every single one except syndicate. That being said this is the last time I will ever preorder, or even consider buying another ubisoft game at launch. I have a monster of a system, gtx 1080, 4.5 ghz and all the ram I'd ever need and i'm getting 60 - 70 fps with dips below 20 in combat. I'm not unfair, I wouldn't downvote a game if it had at least a few redeeming qualities, but in addition to the optimization the cutscene audio and video stutters from the 3 ive experienced so far. It's a damn shame because if the launch wasn't so bad this could have been the best AC since 2, but this feels like another unity.

Oh, and it's the first game I've ever tried to refund.

come on dewd, ubisoft games are often rough on launch day. wait for the first patch or 2 and it'll be probably be running fine. I'll be waiting until then to buy

AllStart4u been commenting on all of the negative comments with the same "It's a pre-order dude" No. It's not a pre-order. This is Launch day. Also, Launch days are known to be buggy... Well... these days you can send a buggy game out and not get destroyed. "Don't worry guys. We got a patch for it." Older stuff? had to be much more concrete. No patches.

Sorry to break it here for you but there has to be a problem on your side. People with 1060 up to 1080ti say that it is well optimised, mind updating all the drivers, directx and other stuff.

It's a pre-order. It's still being worked on.
They have schedules to follow, if the top guys say it has to go out, it goes out no matter the shape it is.
It will always get bugs and errors at launch, wait a week or even just a few days and they try to fix it.
