I'd say pubg was a amazing game when it came out, it was one of its kind and nothing else that really came close to it. Course you had to have a pretty beefy computer to play it because it was terribly unoptimized. Back then people where just starting so semi fire at long to medium ranges where pretty much the norm. The problem is, new players will take a while to get use to the guns recoil so anyone new to the game would have a hard time comprehending how people are able to spray them down at distances that they would never expect and will atuomatically call hacks. The biggest problem with this game is... well in my opinion it wasn't free to play which combined with a small group of greedy Devs located in South Korea, they didn't know how to handle its mass popularity from the start so the servers where buggy with millions of players online, like theres a refresh option in the settings if you press Esc. Its funny how they use to have problems with too many players and now the problem is the lobby is too big and so the wait time before you got into the game took up to around 5 min's. So how does the devs go about fixing this? Well in my opinion It was the bots that ruined this game. Older/skilled players don't feel much enjoyment killing bots cause its not as rewarding as downing a real players. This bots movement patterns are just as bad as its mobile version. The 30 dollars for this game was worth it for me because if you where a early player, the first crates that were avalible in the game where actually really profitable in the steam market and I made my 30 dollars back and more. Now the Devs are greedy and it really show in this game, in the early parts of this game when there where lot of server issues, the Devs spent more time trying to create crates and skins and all sorts of in store merch rather then spend time fixing the game and its issues. Now the game is flooded with annoying notifications about new merch. Infact the anyone who plays these types of genre would know how the bots would devalue the game play but you would realize real soon is that the bots would always wear the most updated merch, trying to trick players, espesically now players into buying stuff in the game because they think so many people have them and are buying. I believe the wait time can't go past 5 mins in the in game lobby so what ever that is left out of the 100 would be filled with bots and so you would have these 30 minute games with you doing nothing but looting and finishing with bot kills though out the whole game. For new players, they'd think they did a amazing job surviving however far with a bunch of kills when in reality, they where all bots. There is two ways to save this game now, and its to make more smaller maps and give the player options on what map they wanted to play, or just make this game free to play so that there would be more people and the bigger maps would be playable and not running across half the map for the whole game but I don't think that would happen. If they give players the option to pick maps, the only map that would work would be the smaller maps and this really tell you a lot about what players want, which is a game with actual play time and not run time. So for anyone that wants to play this game now, I'd say just avoid it unless you have a bunch of friends that still play it, or else you would get bored or frustrated fast. Also one last thing, this game use to be so much fun with people actually using their open mic's but now people dont even talk in open world and hardly talk in team chat. You are going to play a few games to find someone that are willing to communicate but more then ever they're not even speaking the same language.
