That is a spot on assessment. I love the detail poured into it but I took big issue with the recruitment as well. They seemed more focused on agonizing historical detail than playing with the Romans for all the perks it comes with, I.E. kickass cohorts/legions etc.

No I havn't. I was playing Europa Barbarorum II. But the recruitment scales suck. You dont get any of your OWN soldiers. It sucks. Great Game but terrible history. Its like a rome I version of Rome II.
