Steam should make it a policy that companies keep versions of games when offered, with a relevant link to patch notes (And patched reasonably) so that players get exactly what's printed on the tin... This is the only platform (I think???) that makes it frustrating with games where innocuous devs can take off on a completely askew direction to what was offered/promised in the first place.

That's why I buy more games on Good ole Games now, as you have control over whatever updates to any game are offered.

Steam and co. are shooting themselves in the foot by making updates unavoidable and by not requiring plenty of rollbacks of major releases. In fact, all of them...

I actually bought nothing this time round with sales. Devs are obsessed with milk and run and the only positive review I gave was to an old favourite : Dawn of War - G.o.t.Y. edition. Of course, mods made this game super purchasable...

May be forced to buy Anno 2070 plus DLC again even with retail boxed version I bought many years ago. Receipt has faded so... Oh and they don't take photos other than source files with EXIF data I presume. nearly 20 years ago maybe?...
