For everyone that still doesnt know why the development for Dayz is slow as♥♥♥♥.

When the development team started making Dayz they didnt want to put it in the old engine
but make an engine specifily for Dayz. They knew that was gonna take a long time
so they said to them selfes: we arnt going to release this game untill its finished.

well since youre looking at the store page for it now i guess you wonder what went wrong.

The Dayz team announced that thye were going to make a standalone game
and the community loved the idea. Only problem was: they wanted it now!

So by high demand of the community they put the game in early access.
But because they knew they were going to get people complaining
about the unfinished game they put the following as their description:

''WARNING: THIS GAME IS EARLY ACCESS ALPHA. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO ACTIVELY SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME AND ARE PREPARED TO HANDLE WITH SERIOUS ISSUES AND POSSIBLE INTERRUPTIONS OF GAME ''

and also said things like this :

"They didn't want to release alpha in the first place because they knew that people will be dissapointed and even with all warnings, people will still ♥♥♥♥♥ like it's a full game. But they released it in Early Access due to high demand, and that was a mistake they knew it will happen. Yeah it's taking too long, things are developing slowly, but they warned you not to buy/play because it wasn't even close to finished game."

Just remember this next time you go complaining about how long this game takes to develop.
