It looks promising, but sadly the game isn't playable. The controls aren't complex so it isn't really a problem that the game throws you right into the action without a menu or a way to change settings, but the lack of an options menu also means there's no way to change the resolution without tinkering with the game's files. The bad handling of higher resolutions also leads to the player getting stuck when inspecting the book case since the "back" button is cut off, just like the subtitles. While this technically can be avoided by playing the game in windowed mode, you have to mess wiith the game files to do so, and playing in windowed mode is clumsy, inconvenient and very detrimental to the game's atmosphere. A shame, since it seems like the game might be very interesting - if it was properly playable.
