This game has some of the most beautiful stories and characters I've seen in a video game, or even some novels I've read. Over the years, you just don't find things like this. I'm a war hardened, grown man, and some of the story threads in this cut me deep. Thank you for this experience.

Story is solid. Game-play is challenging but rewarding. Game holds up over time. Can't wait to play Part 2.

Fun Game. Playing this game is like being attacked by nostalgia, with call backs to every action movie ever made. Makes me consider buying and playing through the first Punch Club game. Hope they come out with some extra content, this game is a little on the short side, with a lot of places for expansions.

It isn't as difficult as the first Darkest Dungeon, but it is definitely an upgrade to the combat systems. There are such a weird difference in the way breaking down and rising up effects your characters that it feels lackluster in some aspect, then over-powered in others.
The game's pacing is a lot faster than the original, which is a positive, but there is a way harsher punishment with diverse groups, so don't slow your pace with diverse group tactics. You are almost wedged into choosing a single play style per party and hammering that style to victory. Just pray to whatever eldritch gods that you don't run into something that resists everything you throw at it.

Got a little over 3 hours into this game. It's a woke trash fire. Go back to Pathfinder: Kingmaker if you are looking for a good table-top style RPG. This one continues the game play, but the story, characters, and dynamic is really terrible. Kingmaker has that big wide world feel to it and is more along the lines of a linear pathfinder campaign. This one is more like "Let's push an agenda and force our players to address it", not a good way to sell a product.

This game is fun! It's a slow paced Turn based strategy game with a lot of flexibility, and some interesting but not too in depth stories. The weapons and characters have a wide range of abilities and combinations that can keep you invested for a solid couple of hours. The trade skills are all very useful and can be positively exploited as you journey through the game. As you get through certain areas, you see more and varied game types show through and some areas that will make you regret making your party Overpowered (Because it will show you how foolish your attempt at being overpowered is).
Best sum up for this game would be You are a mercenary, hiring more mercenaries, to roam around doing mercenary ♥♥♥♥ among thieves, politicians, and merchants. You can be a highwayman or a elite hit squad. A nature loving ranger/druid group or a roaming band of pyromaniacs, spreading plagues and murdering merchants for wealth and gain.

This game is Short, Deep, Fun and sometimes Challenging. If you are a Metroid/Castlevania veteran like I am, you can figure the bosses out and get a strategy going. There are mysteries in this game that will hopefully be revealed in the upcoming updates. The developers have been fairly communicative with the forums and discussions, which is a plus. The graphics are solid, the soundtrack will make you feel like you are slipping into a slow depression (This is not a negative thing. Some of us like the full range of human emotion). It fits with the theme of the game and the things you discover along the way. I've played through on the New Game + and the game is engaging enough to make me want to get all the achievements and write a review.
You get a variety of weapons and the enemies are various. The bosses are a pain the first round, but after some trial and error, you can get the right method to getting them down. There are also harder named enemies that you may not fight multiple times. They will move or stop spawning if you lose to them too many times, so as to not trap you behind a difficulty wall that cannot be passed by certain gaming journalists. Wouldn't want another Cuphead Debacle.
Other than that 8/10, Can't wait for the updates, want to see if the developers get brave and move us off the world we start on and if this will become a smoother Hollow Knight franchise. (I liked the game play of this a little more than I liked Hollow Knight)
