For all the great things this game does there is one massive shortcoming hence the negative review and that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PROGRESSION LOCKS AND RESETS.Who TF wrote this ♥♥♥♥ ass spaghetti code.All I wanna do is enjoy a good singleplayer game but nah g let me just hard lock you for no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason like ???.For all the shortcomings 2019 had at least it function properly,I still can't wrap my head around how you want 80 euros for a game that has a game breaking problem like ??? Oh and remember the "you get all the DLC",ye nah Seneca and Ravenwest aren't in that pack,WHY ? A mystery for the ages.
Honestly if you bundled all the Grid games (Not counting autosport that's an abomination) you might actually have a good game...
I can't even say whether I can recommend it or not,its a great game with some big problems that devs don't care to adress.

EDIT
After 60+ hrs I've gotten used to the loopholes and yes the game is worth it go buy )

Sometimes buying 'em is more fun than playing 'em. Call it my hoarder/hunting instinct. It's a curse, but oh well. I do get through a surprising # of games actually, but I tend to get stuck on good games along the way. 🤷‍♂️

@DaVinMan Oh mate I just checked your profile ye no way you are getting trough 10K games :DDD.I can buy around 3-5 games a year (new releases after the inflation),3rd world problems...As for cheaper games maybe I can buy around 20 a year and I am pretty specific as to what I enjoy so for me it was worth it but yea I understand what you mean.Was lucky this sale got Grid,MW:REM (wanted MW2 as well but fuck man 60 euros really ?),BV and B1 and considering I still have a backlog that I might not even get to since I will prob spend at least 100 more hrs on Grid,I think I am set for 2023 :D

Fair enough. It does sound nice! On the other hand, I've been agonizing on Risk of Rain 2, Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris Deluxe Edition, and this. And having already spent ::mumble mumble:: dollars on the holiday sales, I'm trying to find that thing green line between the insanity buying every great deal out there vs. pacing myself down the line. Oh, and I just got the January Humble Bundle Select bundle... Dear god, I may have a problem. 🤣

I think I'll hold out for $15 for Deluxe edition. $24 is a decent price too, but I'm kidding myself for thinking I'll get to this title anytime soon.

I played trough the whole 2019 and that game had 5 maps so idk maybe i am just a masochist :D

@DaVinMan You won't get buyers remorse,some cars are truly amazing check out BMW V12 LMR,Bentley Speed 8 and Mazda 787B (I believe they are from Endurance DLC),sure they also added the Mazda Autozam which is just wtf but overall there is a lot of content and I always find customs to be fun.As for Career for me so far it has been over 100+ hrs because I did all sponsors and I still have around 30-40 hrs before that is over so def worth the 23 bucks.I hate FOMO as well but I've been a Grid player ever since I tried Grid 2 just see my gametime for 5 years :DDD.Also I love Codemasters for their older games,sure they fucked up with Grid 2019 and Dirt 5,but there is still a redemption path for Legends and even as it is now it's worth on discount.

Huh... I'm a dirty casual player so trying to decide on whether to get the Deluxe edition of this is a bit dicey. It's not a big deal either way I suppose, but I hate buyer's remorse and FOMO with equal passion. Lol...

Overall it has gotten better but there are still a lot of issues and small things to iron out,some from day 1 some like the new photo mode not having the option to turn left and right but having to turn it in a 360 degree angle which is just wtf ??

@DaVinMan The resets seem to have been mostly fixed but yes it still happens that your progress can be reset to zero that's the worst.The best way is to make a hard save and do manuals after races.Smaller problems include sponsor objectives reseting if you press F1 to restart a race,cars added in Ravenwest story softlock but thankfully getting a different car to lvl 2+ will let you progress (Camaro Z28,Mach 1).There are other instances where the game doesn't want to register you passing the requirements and so far the fix for that I've found to be doing a custom race.Mostly cars not in the base game tend to create "problems" with the tracking system,so far custom races have saved me but idk if it will always be the case,I am doing a 100% run so I am still on Pro in Career.

So, what do you mean by "progression locks and resets"? Maybe it's literally what you wrote, but I'm not understanding if so. Does the game just not let you do the next race in a circuit or season and reset your progress randomly? Or do you mean something else.
