Early Access Review
A good continuation of a fantastic game.
The new engine functions well - graphics are good but nothing groundbreaking: but then again, Mount & Blade doesn't focus on graphics.
New mechanics like influence are nice, but can often feel like a chore. The new armies system works very well. Influence should be easier to gain in my opinion, as it feels too much like a grind.
Combat is spot on, though the AI is extremely underwhelming and often infuriatingly bad. Map size is a nice change to the smaller Warband one. Recruitment mechanics are good, but towns for some reason only have tier 1 troops available (bug?).

Overall, if you enjoyed Warband, you'll have a lot of fun here. It bears the hallmarks of Mount & Blade as we know and love it, with improved graphics and smoothed over details. This is an early access game, so expect frequent crashes and some mechanics feeling useless. All in all, worth the money, even more so down the line when the game is added to and smoothed out.
