one of the games i loved and still kind of like, mostly due to there being no competition when it comes to this balance of realism and fun, as well as variety and diversity with the complexity that comes with it, it feels like it could be an absolutely astonishing game and yet it still manages to crush almost any expectation by providing no response to anyone that is actually willing to play it and attempt to enjoy it, only focusing on just how much they can milk their playerbase without us noticing, i can't say i've been here from the start, i very clearly haven't, but i got in right as it was beginning to move over into a phase of not being as enjoyable, my first event was the object 279 event, something i actually wanted to strive to reach, until i understood that for you to be able to acquire the tank without paying hefty amounts of money you would need to play the game non-stop without sleep for the entire duration of the event, something i know nobody could ever possibly achieve, unless they were seriously lucky and simply managed to annihilate anyone and everything in their path, but that was simply still not viable, and with that i just started kind of accepting that event rewards were unreachable, i stopped caring for them from that point onwards, which is a shame due to me joining at the exact time gaijin started trying to milk the game the hardest.. with this, over time the game has simply put deteriorated, yes they're still adding new tanks, new planes and new ships, yes they're still attempting to balance it, yes they're still updating it, but with every update every issue which the community has consistently complained about, directly and indirectly, to the development team through, any and all sources of communication available, is seemingly just forgotten about and buried away by the developers, something which can be understood from a mere glance whether that be in the game, outside of the game, hell even the content creators which thrive off of the game and make multiple videos a week have been telling their fans about the problems and have finally come to a point where they are directly criticizing the game with dedicated videos.
my question is, how do you possibly mess your game up throughout the course of multiple years of the playerbase directly mentioning the problems that you end up with even the strongest of fans/followers turning on you? truly inspiring just how little they appear to care about their community, treating them as numbers, percentages, and basically money printers, it's normal for f2p games to have techniques of acquiring money in trade for progression among other things, but it is not normal for a f2p game to slow their own grind to an absurdly low speed and still maintain extremely demanding costs on every single vehicle as well as a generally extremely unbalanced game experience. again, it's mesmerizing how much they simply do not care for us, as many have said, their last attempt at halting progress with the economy changes was truly the straw that broke the camel's back.
