Despite being extortion by Microsoft against a paying customer, it's pretty tame.
The only think that embarasses me about it is having paid in the first place.
Create a recovery for your C: Drive before doing any fundamental changes. If it screws up & you get to windows - Restore that recovery path.
But like I said before, if under warranty, take it to the store & describe the problem to them.
I'm guessing you're not talking about my Card Hunter hours... waaaaay more than that.
(And some of the Cardhunter hours don't show because they were on the web interface.)
Good explaination, except of course, that it doesn't explain why Steam acts like Steam and does lazy/stupid/bad stuff, like saying you own "0 games" when a privacy setting shouldn't change the number, it should obviously just not show a number at all.
Again, thanks for replying, and thanks for sharing the real number.
PS: You can delete my two messages after you've read them, if you want.
a) Only friends can see my games, thus you see "0". It's a setting in Steam.
b) The "0" total games owned is wrong, as explained above. The "28" perfect games is correct, but again you just can't see which ones because I've set Steam to show to 'Friends Only'.

In what? BTD6? I was playing steadily for almost 2 years, and actually have a lot more achievements in it than Steam shows because I like to mess with the Steam display by not collecting them.
If you look through my list carefully you'll see lots of stuff where I don't have the achievement (collected) for doing something once, but have the one doing it five times, or at least stuff similar to that.
It's just too bad that so many good games ended up on something as bad as Steam which often turns them into something else and/or into nothing. (And in the extreme case, intentionally pushed an "Update" onto XP and Vista that they knew would break the games that people bought on those platforms. Very losely paraphrasing least one moderator on Steam "Hey, Steam takes your money and doesn't promise you anything in return. That he way all the big companies does it." Sad but true.

You can search for my diverse comments in "Why the Steam Hate?"
If you want to talk more freely about Steam, please send me a friend request so we can talk without having to worry about them banning, or pre-ban-warning us for stupid stuff. For example:
1) Posting someone else's artwork in two different places for two different reasons. ("Spamming"
2) Saying "I guess it's ok to reply to my posting, just a long as you stay at least a little on-topic. ("Baiting")
3) Going to <Game-sequal>'s forum and saying that their cliam that it's better better than it's predecesor is only because someone at the company messed up part of the predecsor. ("Posting off topic.)
4) Posting "3" above not only to the <Game-sequal> formum, and the <Game-sequal-beta> forum while <Game-Sequal> was only in Beta and I couldn't guess which might get a better or faster responce to related requestion. (That one was "Cross Posting" and resulted in an automatic community ban.
I recently got aggrivated after I saw a moderator post a false claim that something related to the above would never create an automatic cummunity ban, so I replied to the community say that it did, and that it was fustrating that I got the ban before I got any OVERT warnings. (That unread message box went from several-thousand-and-something unread message to several-thousand-and-something unread messages. Like I 'm going to notice that in the hour or two it takes to get a ban when I had never gotten a ban before, and had yet even really think about them before then.
At any rate, that caused the moderator to break a number of rules - he waiting until the thread was locked for 9.5 hours, and then posted "Battlezoby: You got 5 warnings, how many 'overty' warning do you want?

game and a lot of it is really nice. But the Meta in PVP is horribly profit and it's a damn
shame that $10,000 literally wouldn't be enough money to get all the available cards
from those greed bastards that have released 26 boxes in the past two years and won't
let you get many/most of the cards needed for serious PVP play other than buying packs
from boxes.
