Early Access Review
I'm not going to lie. There's a long way left until The Forever Winter is complete. However, unlike some other games, it doesn't market itself as complete. The actual gameplay is super fun. The fact that you aren't some hero protagonist and are instead, essentially, a civilian forced to adapt to an endless war makes the game so much more fun. The game's visuals are absolutely stunning. It's really such a beautiful piece of art, especially considering the number of AAA titles that are bland slop. I'll be honest, there are some downsides to the game right now. First off, there's a lot of unpolished bits in here: mechs detecting you through walls, helicopters shooting one way while facing another, glitchy walk cycles for foot soldier NPCs. Secondly, we have the infamous water system; currently it uses a negative punishment method to encourage players to collect water by wiping their inventory and resetting their base if it runs out of water. Instead, I think it should use a positive reinforcement method; instead of removing everything from your inventory, the game could reward you with extra small items after the mission or, maybe, increase relations with the NPCs living in your base when you keep your water full. Overall, I have loved the game throughout my playtime. The visuals are stunning, the framework of a complete game is definitely visible, and the few drawbacks currently in the game do not take away enough for me to justify not recommending the game to others.

Battlefield 2042 was a mess on launch and can still be rough today. However with the current discount of $7.79 (May 11th, 2024) I would say the price justifies the amount of fun you can get out of the game. its definitely not perfect but it's not unfun. 7/10

Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3) is a continuation of the Baldur's Gate series. I have not personally played Baldur's Gate 1 (BG1) or Baldur's Gate 2 (BG2) so I cannot compare it to BG1 and BG2. However, BG3 is not a game that needs to stand of the previous titles to achieve anything. While BG3 isn't as free as traditional TTRPGs the level of freedom given to the player is unrivaled in my experience. As for my opinion of this game, I would have to give it a 10/10 as while there are minor gripes I have they don't take away from the experience as a whole.

Balatro is a roguelite deck building game the uses the hands of poker to score chips which can then be multiplied. While playing this game the amount of different types of builds you can do definitely lends to the fun of the game. personally if you like roguelites and deck builders i would highly recommend buying balatro. overall i would give it a 9/10 its very fun but i dont think it has that oomph to push it to a perfect score in my eyes.

meh game, bad sequel.
one of the best parts of dying light 1 was the good mix of combat and parkour with very few enemies being able to match your parkour which made it feel like you could go anywhere and do anything and if anything went wrong you could most likely escape. in dying light 2 techland added terrible level systems that dont belong here. in the original the regular biters were jokes on their own taking 1-2 well placed hits to kill or one arrow to the head (with the one arrow applying to all enemies excluding large mutations ex. demolishers, volatiles and goons) in dying light two it takes 4-5 arrows to kill a basic zombie making combat just a grindfest.

overall i would recommend against fans of dying light 1 buying this game in hopes of it being a true gameplay sequel to dying light 1
4/10
