Even if they fix all the bugs, junky animations and unbalanced items, this dlc is just a sad state of affairs. Most items are either bad, don't have synergies or unbalanced. New survivors are mid at best, falls of quick if you can't establish a build very early on, the animations and mechanics feels like they belong to a different game and they are basically unfun. The new elites are either a non-threat or very dangerous which is weird even to write let alone trying to understand what they are exactly doing while playing. New log entries are literally written by either AI or people that have no creative aspect whatsoever. New boss is just bad. Like the elites, it is either too easy because does not have tempo breaking phase shifts like mithrix or too hard because its mechanics are clunky and to difficult read because there is no build up to its abilities like mithrix. New maps and music are banger as always, maybe the only points of the dlc that is really great. I don't believe there is a chance that they will fix this stuff because they are already perfect in the eyes of gearbox but even if they did fix all this and by fixing I mean at least somewhat fun and playable, it still won't be what the player base deserved. Seeing people giving thumbs up just because there was a patch to fix some of the bugs is really sad. It is like saying thanks for wiping my face after defecating on it, really generous of you.

Bro took a look at dark souls bosses and said "I can do better." Then proceeded to make worst bosses ever known to gaming industry.

Another peak Bethesda move to break what was already working by adding useless and detrimental features to waste our time. Bethesda releases their unfinished, unpolished bad to mediocre games and expect people to complete it by modding. Then some people come here to give a positive review and praise bethesda for things the modders did. Oh no what is that? Bethesda released an update which breaks everything, mods and base game alike? You are having an issue with low fps and gpu usage ? You have to mess with .ini files and gpu software settings. Oh no what is that? Those methods don't work any more because of the new update? You should now disable settings like windowed or borderless screen which was more comfortable for you. Oh no what is that? Now the fps is so high and because game speed is linked with fps you can't play properly through broken physics and sped up dialogues? Well there is a mod for that use that. Oh no what is that? Those mods don't work anymore because of the new update and the mod creator is probably M.I.A ? Well thats on you buddy, the omnissiah Todd Howard says that you should upgrade your pc so do that.
At this point its unsuprising but tell it to the blind masses.

Would give it a mixed review if possible but can't recommend it after failing the literal resolve check this dlc forced upon me. Although it has interesting and captivating sides, it becomes more of a chore than a fun side content. Darkest Dungeon being Darkest Dungeon, no matter how much you prepare for something and how much resource management you do, the game can always push you down the hill at any moment. While this is what makes this game fun and captivating, The Crimson Court turns this "hard but fun" to "hard because f*ck you thats why". The randomness factor is off the charts with its CC monsters spawning out of nowhere, infecting your heroes and rejecting to sustain you with blood while half of your rosters dies sitting there. The randomness is very well included in its maps and bosses, turning this whole charade into a big gamble which squeezes the fun out of it unfortunately.

Yeah, I think I want a personal Keanu Reeves to make commentary on my daily activities and decisions.

Someone said in CDPR office, "I think our choombas did not shed enough tears in the main endings. How about we squeeze them juicy emotions from their very eyes ?" and invented this masterpiece.

Hearing the Terminator 2 theme in the main menu and the Terminator 1 Tech Noir song from the radio is all I needed from this game. Mediocre gameplay, great fanservices.

Only thing I can think of when I see my CPU1 is trying to carry the game while the other 23 sitting there managing my discord is the Sisyphus boulder meme.
