So it appears that Sony is either taking their sweet time removing the region locks that coincide with PSN, or are deliberately leaving it in and waiting for the whole fiasco to blow over and force it later. It has been confirmed by Steam support staff and the CEO of Arrowhead that Sony is responsible for all region locks placed on the game. Sure you could use a VPN to bypass the region locks but Steam might ban you for doing that. Its been almost 2 weeks since Sony retracted the PSN requirement. The region locks are unnecessary and should have been removed long ago.
