TL:DR: The game is boring, looks bad and has overall bad gameplay and in my opinion, wasn't worth buying at half the price.

I had never tried this game before, I bought it on a sale (50% off) during the promotion of the NEXT update. I have played it for about 9 hours. And I am 100% posetive that it was not worth it at half price.

The game looks very bad, even after 2 BIG updates, the game doesn't look like it was promoted to look like. Every planet looks the same, very boring and sad. It's just the same over and over again, every planet looks like melted plastic, since the game is procedurally generated, so there is no detail at all (If you expect any of that). This is kinda sad, since the game is about exploring, but there is nothing to explore at all, everything looks the same, and everything looks bad.

The gameplay is really bad aswell, the flying in the spaceship feels very wrong, the gunplay is crap, so fighting sentinels is useless. Which brings me to the next point: Sentinels, they are just so anoying and unecessary, you can't do anything to them, or around them, because they will start to fight you, and if you kill them, they'll send more in a GTA type system, where you become more and more wanted, and they send tougher and tougher enemies at you. There is no way to escape them, unless you enter a freighter or a spacestation. That means that if there aren't any freighters or spacestations in the vecinity of the planet you're at, you have two options: Die and reload a save, or fly to the nearest spacestation (which could be hours away).

This game contains a lot of tools, these tools will be provided to you early in the game, after that, all you'll do is to make those items better. Take the spaceship for example: you're provided with a decent spaceship at the start of the game, but you'll constantly have to make it better (make it able to jump from star-system to star-system is an example of this) untill you're able to buy another spaceship, which you'll have to do the same to. When you break it down, this entire game centers around grinding to get better stuff, which you'll use to grind to get even better stuff. That makes the game even more ridiculous in my opinion.

In my opinion, this game fails at everything it tries to be, the exploring is bad, since there is nothing to explore, the crafting is bad, because there is no real reward to it, it's like you've climbed a hill, only for it to be a bigger hill after that.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
