I was really excited to play this game having prior experience with it way back in the day, turns out the battle royale mode is gone and matchmaking thats right MATCHMAKING IS GONE in a competetive pvp arena game. You need to either create a lobby and wait for people to join and ready up or join one and wait thru the same process, pray to god the host doesnt leave the match because the whole match will be cancelled resulting getting booted back to the lobby.
If you want to quickly hop on and relax playing this game dont waste your time.

Incredibly underrated souls like platformer game with big depth, the combat seems simple but as you dig into it you discover many interesting ways to exploit the enemies jump king quest has to offer.
The implementation of multiplayer in this game is awesome, as you wander through the game you might connect to a different player completely semlessly seemingly as they were always in your world, do you want to fight them and knock them down to the bottom of the stage? You can do it, would you prefer to team up with them and just progress throught the game? You can also do it, and of course there is a party system that lets you invite your steam friend to your session so you can beat the game from start to finish.
The game is hard but not unfair, it has been masterfully crafted to where enemies are tough and will punish you for making mistakes and vice versa.
While the game is still in early access its definitely worth the price as the developers are still working on the final part of the game with the proper ending.
